Guys, not sure is this allow but just sharing, if any of you who is still maintaining Malaysia's number, you might want to consider this. 28months validity period is a real huge saving!

Hello everyone,

I recently took a job offer at GF Tampines. Anyone else here working there? Due to certain reasons I'm only able to stay in JB and not Singapore. Any one can give an estimate on what time to leave daily for work?

Also, any recommendations for SIM card/bank account? My E pass is in progress.

lol, u crazy to drive every day? vep $35 daily + tolls + erp. on jb side, tolls too. how much they offer u? u will be spending $40+ daily for vep & tolls alone. haven't include parking fees (if any) & oil yet. let's say u work 20 days monthly, $40 x 20 = $800 (rm2400+). either u carpool / public transport / bike is the answer (if u insist staying at jb)

yeah hoping to carpool actually, but only will know once I start if can get someone. Public transport takes too long, at least 1 hour bus ride in Singapore itself. At least car, once get out from Causeway is like 25 min drive. The money is decent, and still can save quite a bit due to the exchange rate. Hoping it will pay off in the long run.

Haha. You are very ignorant when you say that. There are many people who commute daily by driving Msian car.

I ever met someone who has been doing that for more than 10 years

Never used remittance service by the money changer. So not sure about their service but You can use either DBS remit or transferwise. Both of them have a very good rate (close to market rate) and the fees are very low. I prefers Transferwise because they have more currencies available to transfer your money not just for SGD. I used to live in US & UK for years and this is the service that I used to transfer the money back home. So far, they are really good, fast and user friendly.

ps: You can register from the link below for Transferwise if you are interested. I'm not working for them btw. haha smile.gif

Thanks. But Transferwise is reliable? Because usually will send by large sum. And is it able to send to any bank?

Yes very reliable from my previous experience. Have been using it for the past 3-4 years. Never encountered any bad experience. Yes, any bank.

Yeah...

"Can, can, no problem!"

"Caaannnn"

"Can."

Something along the lines. I find these quite endearing and somewhat annoying at the same time. I don't remember hearing that much can when I was in KL. Or maybe I was using "boleeeeh" most of the time.🤔

Hi guys, I have recently gotten a job in Sg and have obtained approval for EP.

I need to ask where can I perform the medical check up in JB?

As I know from employer, EP applicants can do medical check up in JB.

In the old EP banding, some applicants don't need to go medical check up because the salary is higher. Lower health risk compared to those who are lower paid

Not because of the industry that you are in
