Hey guys, I always have dream going to singapore and work. I don't mind to take 3x stress level as long as the currency is good to earn. Just to give a bit of my background, I am no fresh grad but having 2 years of working experience in financial sector, mainly in field of analyzing work. Just wonder, how hard it is to get a job in Singapore now? I don't mind to start small as auditor. Would it be hard to apply consider that I don't have a PR there?
Any agency you guys can recommend in getting a job there? |

QUOTE(irenetansayshi @ Jan 20 2017, 09:23 AM) Just apply to all including fresh grad level positions first, see which companies come back to you But yeah, 2 years of Malaysia experience will probably be ignored unless you have very good credentials, or your new employer is someone you or your current manager knows |

I think you should still go ahead and apply for whatever job that you're interested in at SG. Even 1-2 years of exp is still helpful if any company is looking for that sort of experience. But you do have to keep expectation low, with the job market being not so good. Plus don't just think short term, even if you get slightly lower pay than expectation, that experience might help you in your next job (at SG or MY).Any agency you guys can recommend in getting a job there? Pay-wise, luck plays a big role. And also your ability to advertise yourself (confidence helps, don't think that you are that inferior to the locals). All the best. |

Should be case per case.Especially in finance / business / banking Else stay put in Malaysia and reaches really high position beforr jump here, my cousin with big 4 for few yrs in Penang before transfer to SG Handsome pay I got friends who worked 1 year in MY but programming field, joined SG later fetching ~4k. Handsome pay compared to mine |

actually i realise a lot ppl asking how much for salary for xx year for nn industry but since malaysia and sg is geographically close, similar culture, similar cost of living (albeit of difference but in terms of food and transport), much of the salary is equal.
if u are earning 4k in myr, expect to earn around 3.8k - 4.2k removing consideration for the size of company, client exposure, role type just because, a move whether horizontal or vertical would have positive or negative impact on the salary. so it should be no brainer if u are already earning 4k myr and then someone comes and tell u ur expected is 3k sgd effectively devaluing ur experience and skills (unless the size of company is different but for the sake of argument we assume it's the same) of course, this is just my 2 cents tldr: if u already making n myr, expect +-20% in sgd. simple as that |

Shouldn't benchmark with old pay in Malaysia.
Salary should be paid at MARKET RATE. Slowly survey the salary guide release by recruitment agencies. |
