I actually really benefit and happy from those internet speed upgrade. Not because only I can enjoy the extra speed, but because ppl start to ask questions then got sifu answer here then I can read and know better.

I tried to study about network and also computer technology (my knowledge was 10 years ago) end of last year and find it very hard to decide what to buy.

ya. pretty sure about the speed upgrade since WiFi you can achieve 250++Mbps

The only problem is that i need a better router to enjoy the maximum speed right?

The speed that I'm having now really mind blowing after the upgrade.

Problem is my WiFi speed not fast enough. Lol

not necessary issue on the router. could be limited by your phone/laptop WiFi receiver as well.
My Mi6 phone can easily get above 3~400Mbps on AC1200. But my iPhone 6 only can get around 200Mbps over same 5G WiFi.

AC86U eh. What's DL/UL speed did you get on 5Ghz Wifi, on your phone/laptop?

Yeah... on 5Ghz, since I'm staying in Condo... lots of stray wifi signals.
Sometimes good speed and sometimes not.
But still my Synology connected via LAN, the speed was awesome. Haha

Reading yesterday somebody say when he pay bill, TIME update started.
Same happen to me today, paid bill arround 4 PM and 6.45 PM my speed start to go up......

I'm getting 500Mbps on LAN via 100Mbps plan.

350 Mbps nearest to the router.
150 Mbps in the room.

So far still good, in the room normal surfing usage only.

need receiver? for the wifi mainly only for my phone for pc i use lan cable

getting ~550Mbps D/L and ~485Mbps U/L...atm......

LAN speed is nothing to talk about lor. Almost all gigabit router/NIC can achieve.

TIME started updating speed 1 1/2 hour ago.
My final speed supose to be 800Mbps.

You're using 300Mbps or 100Mbps

If 100 --> 500
If 300 --> 1000
If 500 --> 1000

This is not official yet.

Waiting for them announce the final speed and pricing.
