I'm on 300 Mbps plan, just now login to Selfcare it has a '1Gbps' label on my account. After a while it's gone. I was chatting with a TIME agent he says 300Mbps is getting upgraded to 1Gbps, but unsure. This is my speed test now. This post has been edited by BlackWoods: Oct 2 2018, 09:20 PM

QUOTE(jimbet1337 @ Oct 2 2018, 07:05 PM) Click link below and read 1st post, particularly the green text. https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4658474I have read it. Im still using the default router, which according to many, it doesn't go beyond 300mbps. So even if i have very good laptop and a good phone, I won't get the maximum speed. Assuming that my laptop and phone can go up to 500mbps. Now my question is, how do i check the capabilities of my phone and laptop? How do i know what is the maximum speed they can handle?

Got my upgrade, however its capped at 350+ Mbps, using the old ZTE router. Only possible when testing on my Xbox One. Wifi is only at 60-70mbps.

QUOTE(CloudComputer @ Oct 2 2018, 09:47 PM) InNET server always quite slow, better test using TIME server Well, as suggested on TIME server itself. Earlier seem like the TIME server was missing that why I use another server, but I tried again and saw the TIME server. Can get about 840Mbps was good enough for me. So, do the 300Mbps upgraded to 800Mbps or 1Gbps?? Hmmm

I think it would cover your question too. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=4658454Can also try to download "Wi-Fi SweeSpots" app to test your phone capability. Either of your router and device can be the bottleneck though This post has been edited by jimbet1337: Oct 2 2018, 10:00 PM

My company line is down today due to switch faulty for 100Mbps Metro-E connection. TIME did a good job. Response time was awesome. Once call them, 1 hour they arrived (as per contract SLA) and replace the switch and everything goes back to normal. Thumbs up TIME
