Some BR updates:
The gold coin is supposed to be only for those who put in RM300k or more fresh funds.

Lots of gifts from HQ Xclusive (haven't checked everything yet), they are more knowledgeable on the benefits/gifts.
There are promos like
- RM50 a month for gym at the HQ
- clinic at HQ
- paragliding at RM100 instead of RM200

You received those gifts including gold coins ? In Penang, the BR branch has yet to inform me about collecting those gifts.

Looks like KL side has better benefits ! biggrin.gif

Both have its own features as it depends on d duration n flexibility

Thanks for the reply. Did my research whole morning and had opts for GIA-i. More flexible for my case.

Just out of curiosity, did they ever make any loses? Can't find any information regarding to this. Just consistent 4% p.a.

I should notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif to you else I wouldn't know such gifts existed!

Maybe since you are in Penang, perhaps you can try to call the Xclusive HQ directly to ask?

I think I did mention I went to 2 branches but no one knows of such gifts until I went to HQ today. Also, according to the lady, she said in my case I can go to HQ for any dealings & they can also instruct the respective branch on my behalf.

And they are strict on the 300K fresh funds but I was lucky as I have a few FDs just renewed tongue.gif

hi sifu sekalian, please bear with me for a simple question. i am budak baru belajar, saving reach 20k (celebrate smile.gif) so i was thinking to put 10k in FD but at the same time want to make sure i understand the premature withdraw correctly.

so i was looking at the MBB eFD (http://www.maybank2u.com.my/WebBank/edFlexi250316_tnc.pdf)

in table2 scenario where it says premature Withdrawal, the last column (*Interest Payable & Penalty Calculation) means if i need to withdraw the 10K out for emergency, the value in the table is the prorated interest i gain? or penalty $ i need to pay for withdrawing before FD mature?
*
It's the prorated interest you gain when you prematurely withdraw your eFD.

The "penalty" is the halfed interest rate.

I will leave it to the Penang branch to get the gift from KL. They apologised to me on the delay. Hopefully they can receive from HQ this week. biggrin.gif Not in the hurry to get the gift. tongue.gif

no le, the account creation is done online too. usually takes 2 days for the placement to show in m2u.

*update: immediate placement now*

subsequent placement, will be immediate to the same acct number (gia-i)

if u place a conventional efd, another acct is will be created.

if you've opened m2u efd few years back, you'd know how it works.

*update* read from this post onwards.

If I remember correctly, mbb enhanced it for immediate placement. there was official notice in the old thread too biggrin.gif

Simple, see your monthly spending.
For me I'll put rm10000 for 1 year, rm5000 for 6 months, the last rm5000 for 1 month.
With this way, your money won't be tied up.

Hi guys, beginner here. I have been saving under Maybank FD and have never take out my funds before (I let it auto renew and roll over the interests). Anyway, I want to put my FD into Hong Leong Bank for a promotion that needed fresh funds, but I have no idea how to do it.

First, I assume fresh fund is something that is not from their bank account, so I think I passed that criteria.

Second, how do I send the fresh fund over? I have no cheque book. Do I use IBG or some sort? Bank draft?
Thanks in advance!
