Nowadays usually every bank allow us to transfer cash in saving account into FD directly online right?

I'm looking for a bank like that so that I can transfer my monthly income to FD with internet banking.

Thanks. smile.gif

For the Maybank GiA, is it as long I have a maybank2u account I can deposit my saving into GiA directly online without going to the counter?

I've just applied a saving account at maybank for this purpose.

I've just deposited with Maybank GIA-i.

Just wondering, since that they calculate the profit by daily basis (and profit is given monthly), no penalty for early withdrawal, then what's the purpose of the tenure? I mean I can just set 60 months and then withdraw at any time right?

If already has a M2U account, can I open a GIA-i account online, or must I open the account at a MBB branch?

no le, the account creation is done online too. usually takes 2 days for the placement to show in m2u.

subsequent placement, will be immediate to the same acct number (gia-i)

if u place a conventional efd, another acct is will be created.

I did my GIA at maybank2u, the cert directly appear without delay.

Written there:

- Campaign Effective Rate for 12 months is 4.31% p.a
- Board Rate for 12 months is 3.30% p.a
*Should there be any Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) change; the offer rates may be revised

Nope.just try to uplift because choose wrongly on the interest payment mode.

My experience is you cannot immediately uplift after placing an eGIA cert. Not sure if need to wait for 1 day or a few hours.

For board rate FD, if let's say period achieved, bank will auto renew at latest board rate right? If let's say I withdraw few weeks later, these few weeks got pro rated interest? Or only half?
