Only if they can prove the problem came from the wiring/tweak. They can't void your warranty for changing your mazda wallpaper for engine failure, that just doesn't make sense. If you did autofold and something went wrong, remove autofold OBD and you're good. I'm not saying that it's foolproof, but there are technicalities you can argue on. If not, why make OBD ports? Mazda full spec also don't have autofold for me to purchase even if I was willing to pay damn jacked up prices. Technically if you bring your car for tinting and they have to remove your doors also can say warranty void because our doors are connected to wires etc etc.

cosmetic upgrades are ok according to them...but i guess if they wan to void your warranty they have plenty of other excuses to do that. In case (touch wood) you need to send it back for warranty, just to be safe, revert it back to original.

Updates on the drive:
So far so good. need to rev higher for more power, any below 2.5Krpm at lower speed not very powerful, once the speed picks up that's where the power kicks in. but steering kind of light. very responsive but maybe cause i am not used to the light & responsive steering, at highway straight road tends to easily move about.

How do you guys keep the rpm below 3k, mine kept wanting to rev higher...screw it, since engine break in is not required for this car....i just tekan only and see what the FC later. I was told by a few car guys to sometimes step on it (not more than 6k rpm though for the first 1k) so that the system will learn and doesn't limit your car performance later on (kind of proven by one my fren who both him and his dad owns the car model, one feels more sluggish).

NVH is definitely on the high side. But the sound system is pretty good. crisp clear sound.
No sound from the lower arm bushing so far but i think i heard the wind screen clicking sound. Heard it when turning a corner.

I am using llumar Crystal6 tint, 1st day after parking for 8 hrs in the hot sun yesterday. seems not too good the heat rejection. Maybe cause yesterday was exceptionally hot and i kind of went home at the hottest time 4pm...

Now hunting for my Bodykit. most important is to get the ducktail spoiler & door visor installed. any recommendations? pls PM me.
For the side and front lip...still considering whether to get it the same color as my car (Alu-T) or black.

Yea tyre roar is on the high side, the tyres being the culprit I suppose.
True..the sound system is pretty good, I find it better than the system in the VW Passat.

For the light steering feel, check your tyres. Sometimes inflated a bit high.

So far I've just been driving normally minus a bit of aggression. Mostly under 3k except short stints of 4k. Once I've done about 1k km then will gradually let loose. Definitely good to rev up the engine every now and then. Especially if your daily commute is short or low speed.

the first day i get my car i drag 3rd gear in manual until red line tongue.gif

yea i find that in bumper-to-bumper traffic the car is really sluggish, the engine behavior is just weird and jerk a lot in <30km/h, maybe the car dont like you to drive slow laugh.gif not to mention the fuel consumption is actually higher when you are driving slow and keep a light pressure on the pedal, the current fc show 15L/100km shocking.gif

the car will always want to go faster, when you step too much on the accelerator it will start to downshift, other car also the same but this car is more sensitive to your throttle, i also noticed that m3 did well in coasting once you get up to speed you can let it coast and tap on accelerator in keep your speed to save fuel consumption

when you need power just step the accelerator to 50% or floor it, instant power drool.gif people who overtake me at the straight because i'm driving too slow will usually have to give way at the next corner because this car stick to the road so hard that i can attack corners at higher speed than others

the steering you just have to get used to it, electronic power steering suck, the feedback is too bad when it should be light it will be too light, when it should be stiffer it is still too light, i still like hydraulic power steering as it give more natural feedback and can feel the road more

Budget around 2k u can actually opt for IrisPro UV400 tint, the only tint that gives 100% Uv protection, using it in my car now, comparable to 3m crystalline!

Not a turbocharged car, so revving it higher to get more power is absolutely normal, but due to fantastic engineering, the power band is at least 1000 rpm below similar rivals in the market where the peak is near red line.

Can't comment on the steering, but try it on a hard corner or hairpin turn with higher speed, you really get the feel of it. I'm don't face the issue that the car move about a lot in straight highway. I usually cruise around 130-140 km/h if the traffic allows, mine seems rather planted. Maybe just need to get used to it and possibly a little alignment adjustment at your trusted workshop.

Still need engine break in la....just not as old school like cars of the past decade. It'll do just fine if you just drive normally without thinking about breaking in and it'll also do just fine if you drive it hard. Just don't red line it too much when it is before your first 1000km. I myself red line my car a few times even before 1000km to understand the engine behaviour. Your comparison between 2 cars of his dad and himself could be a bit misleading. If one car drives a lot on stop go traffic and short distances, the carbon build up will be much significant in that engine. Also, the maintenance habits also affect how the car behaves when it gets older. But this is a bit controversial topic and can discuss to no end....just drive the way you feel most comfortable thumbup.gif No need worry so much as modern engineering is much better than the past.

So fast gatal want to change look meh.... sweat.gif keep it as it is for a little while la (maybe a year or more)....then only you can have a proper idea of how you want the car to look like...anyway, good hunting for the perfect look icon_rolleyes.gif As for me, i would save up to get a forged rims, the car handling would be sweeter whistling.gif

Welcome to the club and enjoy your car rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

Made in China battery? The price is too good to be true

For normal maintenance free battery I go for AC Delco, change 3 of them in my previous car and they all didn't fail prematurely, only got one tone I forget to turn off the headlight and the battery died together because it is almost 3 years old laugh.gif

*Edit: I am sorry everyone, someone enlightened me, Q-85 is supposed to be battery designed for idle-stop or start stop vehicles, not your normal UHPB 95D23L. Most probably, it is Enhanced Flooded Battery (EFB) design. A common way to identify it is it will indicate it is intended for idle-stop or start stop vehicles.

Please check your battery if you had it changed at outside workshop. The battery will mention it is for idle-stop or start stop battery (Q-85). Original Mazda SC battery is okay. Else you will risk battery explode.

Why battery explode? The i-stop won't work if the battery doesn't support it

Install auto lock means void warranty on all wiring and electrical parts if they found out

For some battery, the i-stop will still work, until sometime later, it may explode later on. Just some heads up for owners who changed battery outside of SC, they may give non-Q-55/Q-85 battery.
