Hi everyone, newbie here,

Need help on the Mazda connect infotainment thing.. I'm currently stuck here after following lukasz steps. Really need to get the MP4 or movie videos playing for my kids to watch while driving them around town. (Can Apple iOS be connected to the infotainment?) Need all Mazda sifus assistance. Thank you~

Hi, are you on 56.00.XXX firmware?

This app only works with firmware below 56.00.XXX. You'll require to do some tweaking in order to work with the latest firmware.

Easiest way is to make use of AIO V1.43. You'll find an alternative media player here that works with the latest firmware.

Hope this helps.

Made in China battery? The price is too good to be true

For normal maintenance free battery I go for AC Delco, change 3 of them in my previous car and they all didn't fail prematurely, only got one tone I forget to turn off the headlight and the battery died together because it is almost 3 years old laugh.gif
*
According to Google, KOBA is Korean brand battery, made in China? Not sure though. Does AC Delco has 90D23L battery? I know 55D23L and 75D23L are widely available in Malaysia, but 90D23L and above are not widely available (these are for Start/Stop vehicles, and they usually will have a sticker saying it is intended for these kind of vehicles). laugh.gif

[EDIT!] 80D23L by Yuasa ECO-R (MF) <- Not Q-85 standard!! Q-85 = 90D23L EFB type and above.

Hi, you need to insert your hotspot's IP address. I wrote it in a guide in this thread somewhere but I guess it's buried. Anyway, connect your car to your mobile hotspot, on your android go to your mobile hotspot settings > advanced > look for IP address.

Insert the correct IP address and it should connect. I haven't had much luck with the app, only managed to play it once or twice. Castscreen is also unstable (haven't tried out the new version yet though). So far Diginix's videoplayer is the most stable. I can play it 4 times out of 10 only though, so it remains unstable. I wouldn't recommend for you to use it if you have kids because if you're connected through bluetooth and you receive call/reverse your car, your video will be disrupted and will require a reboot; a second playback is also very unlikely so you may be left with very unhappy kids. Your video also has to be formatted specifically for optimum playback so overall it's a very bothersome and frustrating experience for you, especially if you have kids >.<

Also, if you have V56 firmware and above your car's SSH option might have been turned off, you can turn it on again permanently or temporarily and the tweak can be found here.

I'm currently using 56.00.100A though; it worked for me.

Hi misshanz, thank you so much for such a detailed explanation on ur experience. I guess I'll just not touch anything on the infotainment stuff for the time being. Anyway, Still I will try to 'troubleshoot' it. Hehe

hi, new member signing in. got mine yesterday. GL spec. Alu-titanium.
Setia Alam - highly recommended (best discount so far)

Some info to share.
- if you touch any wiring (auto fold, etc..): warranty void
- any s/w tweak on the infotainment: warranty void
- front/rear light fogging: can claim warranty

Only if they can prove the problem came from the wiring/tweak. They can't void your warranty for changing your mazda wallpaper for engine failure, that just doesn't make sense. If you did autofold and something went wrong, remove autofold OBD and you're good. I'm not saying that it's foolproof, but there are technicalities you can argue on. If not, why make OBD ports? Mazda full spec also don't have autofold for me to purchase even if I was willing to pay damn jacked up prices. Technically if you bring your car for tinting and they have to remove your doors also can say warranty void because our doors are connected to wires etc etc.

what is your area? you will see more of it in KL area, or PJ, damansara, sunway and subang area, other place not many m3 or m6

it is mazda and is not as popular as toyota and honda, nothing wrong with m3, it come with good power, good interior and superb driving experience

i used to see a lot of m6 on the road too, but the number seems to be reducing, and i dont see m6 facelift around, all the m6 i seen on the road or in parking area is the older model

lesser m3 on the road make our car look special, the feeling when you stop in front of shopping mall entrance and people just look at your car cool2.gif

either is attract a lot of lovely attention, or it will attract a lot of thieve, even when driving on highway will have some moron come and provoke you for a race shakehead.gif
