I did tried driving until no more fuel bar left before and the range estimator showing zero km, yet the car still running like normal. Freaking fuel anxiety until i reached petrol station, but when i pump, managed to put in about 45L. Meaning, when no fuel bar left, possibly still got 5L left  sweat.gif

Only faced this situation once, will replicate a few times to confirm it is not the fuel level sensor not finished calibration. Really missed the super accurate fuel tank indicator of my old vios...
*
My feel is that there's a reserve of 5L from when the range reaches 0.
This is how I estimate: [ Avg consumption (L/100km) x Range/100 ] +5L
Should tell you how much fuel you have left in your tank.
So far it has been quite accurate for both my M3 and MX-5.

QUOTE(amduser @ Mar 29 2016, 05:32 AM)
anyone tried to turn off air con while driving, then when you accelerate hard or driving above 50km/h you can feel there are aircon coming out from the vent although the air con is off and during 100km/h the air blowing will get stronger and not to mention the air is cold too hmm.gif
*
That is your a/c being in fresh air intake mode and not recirculate. It draws air from the outside. Try it behind a garbage truck tongue.gif

Whether the air is hot or cold depends on your temperature setting. If turned to hot, I think it just draws the heat from your engine.

my AC is on which is set to 28c, but the fan knob is off which will turn off AC and the fan, by right it should not have any air coming out of the vent hmm.gif

If you're on recirculate (left mode), no air will come out of the vent. If you fart in the car, it'll go on stinking.

If you're on fresh (right mode), air will come out of the vent, drawn from outside.

Don't count on a reserve of 5L. In a tank there may be some liquid which cannot drain out due to the position of the pipe. So treat 0 range as really 0 and if you are still running, you are running on luck.

so even if i turn the fan to OFF position it will still draw air into the cabin? not to mention the air is cold shocking.gif

i'm on full auto mode, it will switch between recirculate and external, i only off fan (which turn off AC as well) before i off the car

If you turn your fan to OFF but leave in Fresh mode, yes it'll still draw air in. Switch to Recirculate if you don't want this to happen.
Whether the air is hot or cold depends on the outside temperature and also on your a/c temperature setting.

ic....will try switch to recirculate see if the same will happen again

the airbag specify in the manual is use the key in keyfob to turn the lock under glovebox there to off the passenger airbag but CKD model doesn't have the lock, not sure about CBU

usually need to turn off if you place rear-facing child seat at the front, i dont have kids/babies though but is always good to know the functionality of your car beside just driving it, you will never know it might come in handy one day

Yeah my first fuel-up so I didn't want to cut things too close. Would be comfortable leaving it to the last bar now.

I wouldn't say it's not accurate but rather conservative to avoid people running out of gas on the road. My old City had 8 litres in the tank when the lights come on. Hmm.... so in both the Mazda 3 and City, the gas light comes on at about 20% capacity.

This kind of aftermarket filter element not suitable for malaysian conditions la....their filtration capability is actually lower than the good old OEM paper filter. Our environment too dusty and performance mesh will let in more debris into the engine.
