if you received rider destination outside uber city zone, uber tell us to decline the job. this is what i received when ask in uber help. Because uber will not responsible for anything if you accept it. so if got this kind of request do it as outside deal.

For the quest, as long as reached the goal will stop and rest... Do more reduced the average top up for each trip... so not worth as part-timer...

Let other driver take the rest...

Unless weekend come up with another tier like 54 for 250

Yesterday, 8 hours done 31 trips.... 54 in 3 days is not that hard...

Like I said,I dont mind where the rider destination is,is just sometime I need to be be in a certain radius.By certain radius I mean not going somewhere like in Johor,Melaka,Nilai or Genting Highland.

Hope Uber could improve their system for instance like within a month driver can cancel a trip for 5 times, number of person riding the car and maybe the rider destination aswell.

As I said earlier, Uber KL radius is Nilai/ Seremban, Rawang, Genting Highland (I might be wrong, as I long time stop driving, these info was told during new driver training)....anything outside the above area, you can reject, aka start the trip, stop the trip immediately, write to Uber to explain. You may try your luck to request for cancellation fee, that's seperate issue, talk other time

If you so concern about it, then, better don't drive. Understand your position, who you are, what is you to demand. You are in no position to demand anything. Nobody ask or forced you to drive, you don't like, you don't drive. Or, you go join Grab, who the driver know the destination even before accepting the request. Don't believe, u go to their center, at any one time, you see at least 30-40 people registering for new drivers. But, how many of them really translatated to driving, that's is secondary.

Stop whinning like child who parents do not give in demand for lolipop. That's the fact of driving Uber. And, also, you will encounter some nasty riders (although some of it will be nice and polite, majority just silence, "get me to my intended location fastest and safest" atititude).

Forget about giving suggestion or wish Uber this and that, simple concept, who is paying Uber the 20% or 25% commission fee? The rider, not u. U just an agent for them, to collect it. And, u provide your own vehicle to give ride to stranger, in return Uber pay u 80% or 75% of the fare agreed between Uber and rider to compensated u. U are not their paymaster, rider are. So, any changes that is detrimental or no benefits to them or to riders, do you think they will implement?

Suck it up. Either drive with open heart, don't expect anything in return, or don't drive at all. Or, why don't u just drive and see yourself if it worthwhile to drive or not. All I can say, there is money to be made, there is a lot of hardwork involve. Worth it or not, it individual perception, as every individual have their own cost, and value. And, don't get me wrong, I am not bashing Uber, I am just stating the reality of fact driving Uber, sharing my 0.02 worth and limited experience of driving Uber.

Not mad laugh.gif sorry for the language......

Just sharing my view, been engaging Uber for plenty of times, giving them countless suggestion how to improve, but, never once implemented. In fact, it getting worse. Until I feel not worth driving anymore, even though sometimes it fun to drive, paid to driving around, meeting new people, but, situation deteriorate till the disadvantage outweigh the advantage, that's why I give up altogether

Pity those full time drivers with only source of income driving Uber/ Grab. That's why can't stop emphasizing, driving Uber is tough work, the work not tough, how difficult driving around. The difficulty is driving long hours, and sometimes dealing with unreasonable riders. And, Uber unilateral change the rules, drivers got no say, even though called "partner", until I feel it not even worth driving part time at all, switching part time to full time, then to part time, to stop altogether. Maybe I am one of the luckiest fella who able to switch out. Pity those who want but can't due to their commitment.

Well, I hope this is advice to all new drivers, or potential new drivers, can't stressed enough, it ain't easy job, even though it portrayed like easy job. It ain't high paying job even though it portrayed you can earned 4 figure weekly, coz u got to factored it the time to earn that, your cost (u can't compare salary versus driving Uber, salary person cost is only time, driving Uber cost is not only time, but vehicle running cost). And, vehicle running cost will increase compare to salary person, salary person, you drive to office/ home or any place required, but for Uber/ Grab, you practically driving everywhere, and anywhere. The vehicle repair and maintenance cost will be more frequent. Petrol need to pump more frequent. Factored all these in first, then, decide if it worth to drive. If unsure, go try it out first. Everyone got their own standards, mine is differs from yours. You ask 1000 people, u got 1000 answers.

All trips are RM1? Are these promotional fares?
If that's so Uber will reimburse you the balance of amount.

Bang on my friend!Have to agree with you,the more you drive the more frequent/earlier you have to service your car.

Yup,heard many people say that too,if you put in hours driving+hitting some surges, you'll make quite a decent amount.

I think one of the lesson we can learn from being Uber driver is that now we know the feeling of becoming a taxi driver that drive for living.

I would say Uber is one of alternative ways to make extra $$.But like I said,if you put in hours, you'll probably make more than extra $$ if i may say.

Then, Uber will not suit those part-timers, those who want to earn some extra income whenever they want, at their own timing anymore. No more independence, will tie to meet those surge and quest. It used to be another flexible way of making some extra income, as the fare will cover it, seems nowadays you must hit surge or quest only to cover it.

And, for those only source of income is driving, it will add further pressure to meet the financial commitment if the fare below what expected. sweat.gif

I've been switching to Grab for a month now. Truth to be told, Uber sometimes is more relax when you feel like you are going to spend to rest of the weekend. There are a lot of comparison to be made varies from everyone. Since I was still studying, free weekdays for Grab, free weekend for Uber (for the quest)

Still, nothing beat real life experience.

Can i know how much you can nett a day after maintenance expenses and comission , and how many hour you drive

How you guys choose passenger on Uber , my friend said that he dint accept >10min pickup

and

I found that grab (flexi) not worth pickup below rm10 fare trip .

and to nett rm200 a day for 10hour = you need rm20 nett an hour

and to nett rm20 , your total fare need to be around rm40

how to achieve rm40 per hour? i found that the normal range for an hour was rm20 to rm30

and that mean a 10hour would not achieve rm200

am i right?

If the green light is a right arrow, by right cannot u-turn.
If it's a whole green circle, and without 'no u-turn' sign, just do it.

Average fare per hour is rm25 to get net rm20. If your commission is 20%.

Uber can't get rm40 per hour lar.
Even on lucky days also near to rm30 only max.
Most of the time only rm20-25 - if you drive in KL city area.
Other places, maybe not even rm20 per hour.

I am talking about normal circumstances, not special holidays.

For nett earning I mean after comission and maintenance , rm25 - rm5 - ?? = ??

I mean even promoter work for 10hour can get rm100 or plus

We take risk and capital just earn rm10 ++

Any idea to increase the income??
( Rm200 a day )
