lol so far krono only sold 1 unit of C1 48 to me? (9 units left in shopee)

48 " is indeed a little too small for TV . Only people who really need to fit a certain space will find any usage for it .

And majority of the monitor crowd is well aware of the Burn-In issues despite being overblown .

The thing is , 55 " CX from last year can be gotten at around the same price , so there is little incentive actually get something less for the same price .

QUOTE(touristking @ May 15 2021, 02:11 PM)
So how much better do you think the Panasonic's processing is?
*
Ahead of all commercial TV brands on the market , that is for sure . They strike the best balance among the big4 .

There are more information I can share with you but it will turn out to be a 100 pages + reply and this is not a Panasonic thread.

For example , among wRGB OLED on the market , there is some kind of color processing errors [?] in the undertone of cyan , or very pale blue if you like.

Hence , these LG-made wRGB TV has a strange push towards Cyan when displaying White , despite being already calibrated to D65 white point .
We have noticed this a couple of years ago , when being compared to QLED back in the days . Since OLED was , by nature , more accurate than any LCD , we put the blame on Samsung for making oversaturated TV (which is true but not in this case) .

In the last 2 years , I noticed the Panasonic HCX pro is so precise to the point it has eliminated the problem entirely . And yes , without the needs of calibration .

Perhaps it is not mentioned by many reviews , outlets like HDTV would just calibrate it away by dialing down the blue because they have a lot of reference material to look at .

Not a super dealbreaker but something to be noted for people who are claiming Sony has the best visual processing in the world .

More & more reviews are slowly trickling in, and most of the YouTube TV reviewers from Avsforum have nothing but praises for A80J in delivering the same picture quality as the A90J but at a lower brightness yet affordable price. I'm a casual gamer so I can wait for the VRR if it ever comes out & I consume more media because of my HTPC setup.

If ur a gamer then LG C1 is definitely a no brainer for its gaming features & calibration options. Good buy smile.gif
*
Avsforum has a large crowd of Sony fanboi because they don't get Panasonic so they can only compare it against LG's .

And I can definitely tell you are a new Sony OLED owner since you are completely unaware of the tricks they pull during their new product's year.

All I can tell you is , keep an open mind .

Haven't pulled the trigger yet but closed to pulling one. This will be my first OLED since I skipped last year. A80J is already available on Shopee earlier today. Very Interesting, I'd love to hear more about this trick if u don't mind biggrin.gif

Because I'm on the fence yet slightly bias towards getting the Sony right now especially after I saw HDTV's A90J review. I'm very impressed with the LG too but I'm a bit lazy to calibrate just to make it accurate (A80J slightly accurate out of the box) since it'll be my first time.

The only thing i like about LG toward Sony is featuring 4x HDMI 4.1 port biggrin.gif
While A80J only has 2 and one of it is eArc sad.gif

Currently i have Xbox series X and might get PS5 too in future once they revision slim/pro.

This is so true. I want OLeD for my master bedroom to replace a very old lcd tv. 48" size is spot on and 55" is too big. But then, the CX 55" is only about rm300 more than the C1 48" (street price). Plus some shops are offering rm300 TnG rebate, this pretty much makes the price or both tvs even. It makes little sense to opt for 48" now.. i guess i'll wait for year end promo, if there is any.

Too bad I couldn't find any deal on Panasonic at the time and have to settle for the LG. My own preference were, Panasonic, LG and Sony. Well, forget about it and just enjoy what I have. Thanks.

Panasonic have exited the USA and Australia market. One tiny reason I voted against Panasoinc.

Talking about LED. In passing glance, the Sony impresses me but not the Panasonic or LG and I dislike the Samsung's color in store.

Panasonic HZ2000 has very good review, some say best in 2020. However in Malaysia I don't know. Seems not many people selling and definitely not cheap. Also I don't know how's Panasonic support for TV. Not very impress with their other support. Sony in theory better for motion and upscaling. But unless you very picky also hard to tell the difference. At least I can't tell the difference much.

I think I will switch back to Sony for my next TV due to the fact I watch a lot of upscaled stuff. But I think I will miss the WebOS.

Even if HZ2000 is available, it wouldn't pay so much money for a TV. Their 1000 series similar official price to LG's C series are those are in my budget. The Sony's A8H 65" is really cheap now.

LG C1 48" is available for pre order for RM6.5k on shopee. You can get 10% coins cashback (capped at 5000 coins) + 1k coins from the seller, all for a total of RM600 which is a lot

Me? I'd get the C1 because I heard they solved a lot of issue that plagued the Cx especially the gaming functions

It is a shame that current market share of Panasonic TV is so little compare to its heydays.

The poor decision making (gamble on plasma panel yet don't have good strategy to market it) by the top management resulted in many years of company loss and thus the decision to reduce its investment in digital electronic products.

This is just my guess.....

I guess CX 65 will go down to ~RM9000. Until end of May, LG has free gift of RM500 TnG credit + a air filter worth RM3300, let say real worth all in is RM2000. So your RM9000 goes down to below RM7000

C1 probably when launched will be around RM14000.

In this scenario, I will take the CX.

6000 coins are only worth RM60 bruh

(if u pre-ordered earlier like me, u can get the 10% coins cashback from Shopee with no cap, then really get 60,000 points which are really worth RM600+)
(but again you can only spend max 3000 coins on each purchase, and minimum RM100+ per purchase)
(so to fully utilize the 60k coins, u need to buy 20 times different products that worth RM100+ per order, so totally u need to spend another RM2000 to fully utilize the coins)
