bem69, did u ever press red key at magic remote control , to turn tv to standby mode (to run
compensation cycle) ?
By right run compensation cycle every 2 or 3 days should reduce the chance of burn-in problem...

Nope, just let it do its course on default.

Hi...got a question. How much does LG charges to wall mount a tv? Doesn't seems stated on their website, just "Pay at door".

Unfortunately, oled tv wouldn't run compensation cycle automatically.

2 ways to run LG oled tv compensation cycle...either press red power key on remote control
(turn to standby mode) OR manually click "start now" for 10 min compensation cycle pixel refresh at
setting section.

Run compensation cycle (short time around 10 min) very effective to prevent
burn in(burn mark) problem.

Long compensation cycle need to reach 500 or 2000 hours tv on time...My LG B4 55 inch
oled tv will require reach 2000 hours for long compensation cycle.
Long compensation cycle need around 1 hour run time on oled tv.

My LG B4 oled tv already reach 750 hours power on time.So far so good...
I checked with some web site to do 100% grey light ,red ,green and blue
full screen check.I don't see any burn in or other problem.

I will let u guys know from time to time...let's see how the progress go on...

LG doesn't charge anything because they're not the ones doing it. The retailer you buy from will subcon out to installers, so you deal with them directly instead.

Actually what I meant was, I did shut off the tv with the red power button to let it run its course. But manually, I don't. So far my previous CX didn't get any burn-in, only burnt edges. Strangely, the LG guy said to always switch the power off at plug point when not in use. So yeah, I'll just stick with letting it do its self-maintenance in standby mode.

You should switch off at plug point when not in use for an extended period of time - like when you know 2, 3 or more days not turning on the TV. Otherwise don't need to bother, leave it on standby.

Anyone know if there are any possible causes for the automatic short compensation cycles not running? From what I understand it is supposed to run when put in standby mode after each consecutive 4 hours of screen time.

My LG G3 had an issue with bezel bleed/burn in after around 1 year and 10 months.

Technician came and checked and after entering the service menu, my TV's usage totaled 875 hours but the supposedly automatic short compensation cycle only ran 1 time which was the most likely cause of the issue.

They decided to replace the screen of the TV under warranty, however I feel like this doesn't solve the issue completely and might happen again unless I find out what exactly causes the automatic short pixel refresh to not run. Technician himself has no clue on what might be causing this.

Did some search online and some people say it is having the Quick Switch+ feature on (when I checked this was enabled, so most likely this was enabled by default since the day I bought the TV) or not using the supplied LG TV remote to put the TV into standby which might be interfering with the automatic short pixel refresh feature.

But if anyone knows of any more potential root causes, I am all ears!

Have to commend the speed in which they work on warranty issues though:
Reported issue on a Saturday (8/11/2025)
Technician came to check on Monday (10/11/2025)
Technician replaces screen onsite on Tuesday (11/11/2025)

I won't comment at all in terms of picture quality etc as every person's preference is subjective plus I think there are already plenty of reviews out there which you can use to make an informed decision. You can also always drop by one of the large retailers out there to give it a good ol fashioned eye test.

I have 4 OLEDs at home atm...2 x C1, a C2 and a G3. My G3 recently had a problem which I have posted above. a few years ago I did a claim on one of my C1 due to panel failure (vertical lines), this was my gaming console TV. I am not sure if this projects poor reliability to you but to be honest I think I have just been unlucky.

However, each time my experience dealing with LG customer support and warranty claims has been nothing short of fantastic.

I thought no need to do anything except leave it on standby mode (power cable still ON) after switch off?

I too have an CX. I have never physically pull the plug except when away for weeks.

However, I did have to get the motherboard replaced.
