Interestingly, the LG G1 is listed on the Malaysia page....I know...it means very little and could be a mistake. But at least this is a glimmer of hope that it’ll come to MY eventually.

This is all of the OLED models they have submitted for approval .

The G series are not in the list .
Few weeks ago I was told there may not be allocation for G series in MY .

There are still times before the official launch , maybe they will surprise us .

48" CX gets just 50 bucks cut lmao. USD 1449 x 1.07 (assuming 7% US sales tax) = USD 1550 (~RM6300). Original RRP was USD 1499 (+ sales tax after converted is ~RM6.6k).

The 55" CX actually gets a lot more price cut relatively speaking. From USD 1799 to USD 1349 in a lot of retailers.

Surprisingly 48" C1 is sold out in a lot of retailers in the US, 55" and above are widely available. Even the more inferior US model with no 120 hz and HDMI 2.1 48" A1 is USD 1299 (~RM5.7K)

Like Convael said in other thread, MY retailers hardly follow their pricing, I believe the C1 will be quite pricey in MY even for the 48".

My setup cannot fit 55" cleanly coz got overhead cabinets  cry.gif thats why looking for 48"

Wow that's a real shame bro. Maybe can consider those brackets with arms that can be moved around to move the tv out of the cabinet space. Or maybe try to modify the cabinets.

I think the 48" cant be more or equally expensive as 55". Malaysian market is mostly about size/price. Unless they bring in 48" just to satisfy gamers. With the lack of rtx3080, forget about 4k gaming.

yeah I meant the demand for 48 even for the CX and the relative price cuts.

Of course 48 RRP cant be higher than 55 be it anywhere. biggrin.gif

Is that the SIRIM product database? Man - I don't even know how to get there.....funny that Malaysia gov make it so hard to search....

Anyway - LG's website is now listing 55" & 75" C1 and 65" G1. Now....based on the HomeDec poster, we know they're bringing in 48" - so the website is probably just out of sync. Still crossing my damn fingers though...

In US and UK, the cx55 was frequently cheaper than the cx48
because it is more costly to produce 48 when they cut the glass

The demand for 48" couple with limited availability especially locally would make it fly off the shelves, the stock won't last until the "discount" phase.

By then, the price for 55" would be similar or lower than the launch price of the out of stock 48"

Really a good price, place my order last Thursday, only can get my tv next Wednesday. Not much stock left, at least for my area.
