hi guys, if the BX and CX price difference is around RM1.2k, is the BX a better choice? where does it noticeably lose out to the CX? been going back and forth for a few days now haha.

also, not very familiar with the extended warranties, but some shops are charging 15% of the RRP, while another shop puts it at 20%. what's the usual practice?

Considering you are going to spend RM6-7K on a new TV , 1k doesn't seem a lot .
I am not even going to talk about the hardware / PQ by now , check out our discussion at previous pages .

I am just going to remind you this .

If they have firmware update , such as the black dithering improvement dated all the way back to 2018.
You may not get it at the same time as the C/G/E/W/R series owners . In fact , you might not get the update at all.

That is what LG intends to do , they are really putting the B series on the spot now .

At the same time , the B series also use more plastics [instead of metals] in the build stand and backcase .
Something to consider if you don't plan to mount your TV .

damn, you made a good point about the software updates. my last tv didn't even have OTA updates haha

i was super ready to take the plunge with the CX, but in the end i decided to channel the 1.2k saved to other parts of the house. ah well, something to aim for in the coming years!

and yeah, the plan is to mount the BX - just hoping it wouldn't make it extra difficult to reach the hdmi 2.1 ports dry.gif

thanks for the input though, really didn't think about the software updates bit smile.gif

I paid rm6800 for it, and I specifically asked for a new set, not a display one

Hope you get replacement. 1000hours confirm display set. I just checked mine is at 8 hours after 2 days use, so brand new.
Anyways, I'm enjoying the oled very much. Playing demon souls ps5 on it with hdr. The game is popping off the screen!! Dammmnnnn.
