What is the height in cm the sound bar?

Need to know when shopping for sound bar so it will not block the lower part of the tv screen.

currently, I am using SL7Y. It will not block the visible area of the TV, however it blocks the IR sensor. need to raise the remote controller in some position to turn ON/OFF. but will get used to it after some time.
From the bottom surface, the soundbar measures 60mm height.

Thanks!

I feel like this years pricing is even more ridiculous than previous years...I mean 65cx is 2.5k USD. That is almost 7 times more in Malaysia!!!!

Im not sure what the ratio was last year when c9 just launched as compared to US MSRP though.
*
Yea usually newly launched model RRP is crazy one la. I wonder really got people pay the RRP nowadays. Ask around shops surely can get some discount.

Shopee coins cash back. You can only use maximum 3000 coins per transaction per day, and maxium 15000 coins per week.
Stupid shit T&C
*
Yea so many coins gained but yet only 3000 per transaction can be used. Most likely will be wasted unless use the coins to redeem voucher (i.e. movie voucher).

Borderline OT, but the current retail price for the Sony 77A9G OLED is now RM21.9k....thats close to what it shd start with instead of close out prices...still wonder what the 77C9 is now.
*
Sony A9G 65" was one of my choices, but it does not have HDMI 2.1 and i worry about screen burn in, end up I go for Samsung Q95T 65".

Wait what? A9h? A9H hasn't even been released yet. How did Malaysia of all countries get it first?
*
Sorry typo, its A8H haha!

BTW, any CX / GX users facing flaky HDMI eARC issue with connected devices? Read from AVSFORUM, the eARC is buggy and causes intermittent signal loss issue.

There are 2 pixel refreshers.

1) The auto version that activates and does a short modulated voltage pulse to all the pixels after every 4 hours of cumulative usage. It's important to understand it is CUMULATIVE and NOT CONSECUTIVE. 2 entirely different meanings that a lot of people seem to get confused over.

2) The manual option which measures the voltage of ALL the subpixels, then sends a full voltage to wear down the pixels that are much higher than the average. This would also mean that if there are a large number of pixels which has lesser brightness than some, the brighter pixels would then be forced to degrade itself so that it matches the average brightness of those pixels which aren't as bright. Usually these pixels are the one taken up by logos or HUDs. By doing so, your TV's peak brightness could decrease. This full field pixel refresher is also set to run on its own after every 2000 hours of CUMULATIVE usage.
It's important to understand that BOTH options DO NOT combat burn in. They can remove temporary image retention and clear up some screen uniformity issues, but that's about it. Don't expect it to work miracles.

To answer your other question, you should not use it frequently and NO it is not necessary. You only use it if there's a very persistent image retention or you have horrendous screen uniformity (i.e banding or DSE).

EDIT
If you're feeling adventurous, you can get an LG service remote and change the time of when the auto refresher and manual refresher activates. But of course, do it at your own risk as one wrong button press in the service menu would brick your TV.

Wow forced the normal brightness pixels to become dimmer, meaning every 2000 hours the oled tv will be become dimmer leh

@bolded
Uhm... ok, so?
All TVs get dimmer over time, be it OLED or LED or plasma or CRT. Projectors dims even faster than any of these displays. Anything that has a light source doesn't hold its luminosity forever.

But by forcing the pixel refresher to run frequently, you're prematurely degrading the subpixels eventhough it doesn't have to be dimmed further to meet an average. Also, it's not like the brightness goes down by like a 100 nits each time the pixel refresher runs. We're talking about 10-20 nits max.
*
If its only 10-20 nits as per your claim, then it shouldn't make any visible difference.

Just got my LG GX today, I connect Apple TV 4K to TV and TV eARC to sound bar eARC, with this I can't get Dolby Atmos.

If using built in Netflix app in TV, Atmos is passed through with no issue to soundbar.

Anyone here having same issue? I think the only way is either watch using LG Netflix app OR connect Apple TV 4K to sound bar, but with this not sure I can get Dolby Vision on TV or not.

You must connect your AppleTV 4K to Soundbar to get Dolby Atmos or Multi-channel PCM pass-thru.

As long your Soundbar support Dolby Vision passthrough then no issue.

I am using LG SoundBar and no issue to get Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos and Multi-channel PCM.
*
I changed in tv from pass through to auto and now I can see Atmos on my soundbar.

Will try connect directly to soundbar and see if Dolby vision can pass through or not.

Got HDCP issue with LG TV and Astro Ultra Box, called Astro and was informed this is a common issue with LG TV users. They need to escalate to Ultra Box specialist team to handle this.

Any LG TV users here facing same issue? It happens randomly, when it happens most channels show the error but still got audio. Channels not affected are TV1, TV2, TV3, NTV7, 352, 353, 354. what I did is off both TV and Ultrabox and unplug HDMI cable and plug back then it is ok...but until it happens again randomly.
