QUOTE(SSJBen @ Apr 10 2019, 05:57 PM)
If strictly movies, the Panasonic FZ950 is the best out of the 3.

In general, they are all very close to each other though - it's more about nitpicking really. The FZ950 is considered the best because the controls it offers to the end users are just simply more advanced than either LG and Sony, till the point that most users won't even touch. But if you're up for calibrating, the FZ950 is the one that gives you the most accurate picture.

Is it worth the extra RM700? That really depends on if you appreciate the ability to really calibrate the TV in depth or not. If you don't care, get the C8 and spend the RM700 elsewhere (maybe upgrade your audio which is just as important).

Bro you use your c7 for gaming right? Console or pc? I still wondering if today qled or oled tv are suitable for pc gaming or not. Considering sitting 3-5 meter away. I read about Big Format Gaming Display from nvidia. Price also very expensive and not yet available.

I cant stand long hour gaming with chair and 24-34" monitor. Prefer sitting on sofa and big tv like ps4 + 65" tv. Hope to connect pc to tv haha.

Guys, another question...what is the major difference  compare with c8 and c9, other than hdmi 2.1 and eARC? C8 also support Dolby  vision and atmos through receiver, right? The price is huge jump from c8 to c9 (5k+- for 65 inch!)

Thank you
*
Now C9 support gsync! This is unreal. First oled gsync i think

For PC gamers using 2019 LG OLEDs (C9/E9 only) - getting G-sync compatiblity is a pretty nice surprise. Wasn't expecting it at all.
*
Next we need hdmi 2.1 RTX that can handle 4k/60 easily.

Unless you can find one unit that is really cheap ( like someone found a 65 " going for RM7999 couple of months ago ) ,  I would advice against buying one.

*
The crazy thing is, i found 75" samsung Q9fn going for rm17k 3 days ago. Same location

Rm7999 c8 is display unit tho. Should be 1000 hours on it becauSe salesman say 3 months unit with 12 hours clocked in daily

Note on the B9, while it may be an "entry level" OLED - it is basically almost identical to the C9. However if you use a HTPC with NVIDIA GPU, take note that GSYNC support only works on the C9 (and E9), not the B9. Something to consider.

Also the C9 is currently cheaper than the B9 lol. C9 65" can be found for under RM13k, B9 65" launching at RM15k.  laugh.gif
*
B9 65" is Rm8999 on 11.11
I dont know why it is stated Rm15k on website

Oh is it? Didn't see the promo price. Thanks for the correction. RM9k then is a pretty good price.
*
Gsync only support C9 and above? B9 not supported? adoi. I gonna use it for multipurpose like games (console + PC) and movies. For PC audio, you connect to your AVR? Initially i want to buy samsung q90R soundbar (RM3900), but the soundbar itself full of connectivity issues like eARC not fully functioning and cannot deliver HD audio through eARC.

Then if I want to go back AVR route, dobly atmos AVR setup need over RM10k as well for 5.1.4 doh.gif

Ridiculous. LG gsync oled tv only can support RTX 20 and gtx 16 series. No idea why GTX 1070 cannot support. There goes my plan.

For gsync to work, you gonna need RTX and GTX16 series to work.

QUOTE(dexth @ Dec 27 2019, 09:07 AM)
Thx guys. I am seriously thinking of going back to OLED from QLED. Comparing my old first gen 65EG9600 OLED to Samsung Q7FN, the OLED despite not having HDR is comparatively bright even max at 300 plus nits. Samsung at 1000 nits and no FALD just felt bright all over the screen and does not 'pop', looks washed out vs OlED excellent contrast.
I can only imagine 700 plus nits with HDR on C9 😀
*
You know in dobly vision or hdr, any scene with sunlight feel damn real sunlight to me. I have to close my eyes a little. In LCD panels, nothing feel that way.

Any reason to get the Cx over the C9 when the tech is more or less the same
*
Normally newer the better i guess? See again the price after cx come out. If c77 got heavily discount, might consider as well.

Now i also wait for hdmi 2.1 GPU & AVR. Hopefully nvidia & denon will release them this year.

You can buy yeelight strip on shopee for Rm110. I applied it on the back of C9

Color depend on yourself. For me, i use purple in dark room. It does make my eye less strain and certainly can boost abit perceived constrast ratio. Later i take photos
