While you can sign the offer letter, scan it and email back to them, regardless what, they need your original signature copy as their evidence of employing you. |

Kpmg conducted phone interview almost 2 weeks ago then went silent. Should I call the person or keep waiting?

QUOTE(b0rhui @ Nov 30 2017, 10:56 PM) depends on which perspective you're looking at cause the issue now is, they are not responsive to queries regarding their career web portal issues as long as they got your latest resume and profile with a contact number then at least they are able to contact you if there is any suitable position the other personal details and profile can be assessed further later |

The process is pretty fast for me, but they called me up, so I guess it's different.

I'm curious about 1 thing, is it very hard to hang on for more than 3 years?
Quite a lot of my friends are setting target of leaving after 3 years. From what I know, leaving after 1 year as manager will be ideal, which means a total of 5 to 6 years if I'm not mistaken. |

QUOTE(Sasuke95 @ Dec 3 2017, 09:12 PM) I'm curious about 1 thing, is it very hard to hang on for more than 3 years? You can look at my previous posts for my detailed view on post-audit career. In summary, it really depends and there is no fixed formula. I know someone who threatens to tender every week but is now a senior manager at your firm. Everyone has a different experience. You may end up in a good team making your planned departure harder. You may have some mishap with your client or partner that hastens your departure.Quite a lot of my friends are setting target of leaving after 3 years. From what I know, leaving after 1 year as manager will be ideal, which means a total of 5 to 6 years if I'm not mistaken. However, the inconvenient truth is the longer you stay = the harder to leave. Something like stick with the devil you know? Anyway, most of the people I met change their minds after their first peak period for better or worse. |

QUOTE(kanikani @ Dec 11 2017, 05:02 PM) if one of the big4 postpones your interview, is that a bad sign? my friend was telling me this is a sign that they will cancel my interview later on since they probably found a better candidate whild another told me if they wanted to cancel on me they would have just said so to not waste resources and time. Which co is it? I have been to a few big 4 interviews might be able to give you some insights.i’m from outstation and when i was told to come for the assessment in their kl office early this mont, i had to spent around rm500 (flight + boarding) to fly into kl the next day and stayed a night for the assessment the following day. so when they informed me of the interview (again, 2 days later) i requested for another date since we were told that there were a range of dates to choose from though you could request another date during the assessment. after 3-4days i tried calling and ended up sending an email to follow up. i was later informed by email that my interview was postponed and if successful, would join the next intake instead. any thoughts? |

QUOTE(ethminerlowyat @ Dec 12 2017, 11:45 AM) Interested in this as well. My initial research suggests that the options are parking by the roadside, or parking at Phileo Damansara MRT station and taking the MRT to the next station at TTDI. |

QUOTE(ethminerlowyat @ Dec 12 2017, 07:51 PM) parking at phileo damansara just to take mrt lol, doesnt sound very feasible. Phileo is just one station away from TTDI. I guess if you want convenience you can park in the building itself, maximum charge is RM30 a day.gotta go visit clients and shit, tak kan keep walking here and there |

QUOTE(ethminerlowyat @ Dec 12 2017, 11:18 PM) If wanna park near, then come super duper early to fight with pasar auntie for parking dbkl.Or open air carpark RM10 per day next to the pasar. Ppl will double park, but you need to be early, by 9, I think full dy. So if want cheap need pay up if not need go jogging. Lol. |
