Yeah I tried to cover as many questions as possible, because I'm not the person who can promptly answer everything, even though the story really happened before I couldn't explain it properly if you ask me on the spot, I need to prepare.

The questions (bus length) clearly is not related to audit, more like how you will react to the question, I also already planned the answer, similar to what you made up, but a refined version. I wouldn't say the exact length directly, no point.

And yes that's what I mean, in the beginning I'm afraid I may looked like I already memorized the script, but along the way I acted more natural even though it is from the script as well. But do note that whatever is in my script is real, just that I need to structure the words and sequence properly so I can present it.

I'm afraid he will noticed that I have a script in mind and doesn't want to continue interviewing further, but in the positive side it could be viewed as this person is fully prepared, the interpretation is different from person to person, I hope he interpreted in the positive way.

I read this thread from page 1 till the latest one but couldn’t find any infos that I’m curious about. Would anyone currently working at EY kindly share about the 4 different industries (DTC, FS, HPI & NRG) . Like is there a better industry to be in compared to the others?

I got accepted into DTC. Hows the working environment, the people and the working life?

1. If they have no time they shouldn't conduct the interview I guess, if manager didn't ask enough, he/she cannot know the applicant better, I wonder how they arrive at a hiring decision? Based on mood? Looks? I'm quite worry if what you said in point 1 is true because it would mean the hiring rate is based on luck alone. So many questions he didn't ask me, which means I will have less chance to present myself. On the other hand, I do hope he ended the interview so soon is because that he had made his mind to hire or not, hopefully positive answer...

The manager normally has no say in this. They are assigned to do the job by the HR. FYI, firms adopt a bit different approach when comes to staffing. Most staffs will be parked in a general pool. The managers will choose and pick staffs from the pool depending on the project. Hence you will report to few managers. No manager claims ownership of staffs. Hence, any manager can conduct interview. Normally its based on rotation.

Big4 have hundreds of interview per year, I am pretty sure not all managers are as motivated as you are. Everyone is human after all. Especially if the manager is planning to resign soon.

PwC offered me the permanent job position instead of the 4 month one. If they offered me the 4 month contract I will choose EY directly, haha, I don’t like to take the risk.

I choose PwC because I have good internship experience there and PwC have the Industry Xplorer program for fresh graduate, which give me a chance to try different industry. However both EY and PwC are good tho, PWC just my own preference

so all in all, you mean that whether to hire me or not, is like tossing a coin?

So they actually offered it to you in the end of your internship (VT) or how did you approach them do you mind telling?

I interned there 2 years back and I'd love to go back if there is any chance  I phoned the recruiter whom I liaised with back then but she informed that only 4 months contract option is available.

Anyway my friend who applied in May this year is only going to commence work next Jan

Thanks for the info! I visited their portal last night and was dumbfounded as the password reset required my preset password question and answer. Couldn't remember what in hell I set last time  HRavenue contact was nowhere to be found so I guess the only way is to call PwC?
