Hi guys, I was offered a position by KPMG & EY, both as IT Audit. Something like Risk Management or Risk Assurance. Don't quite remember the term. Both did say that they are taking my application as fresh grad.

Currently I only have 1 year and 5 months of working experience. I feel I did better in EY interview. And somehow, they are offering very very close to my current salary. Which I am surprise to hear. IT audit is something that interest me.

How is it like working as IT audit? How is the progression of rank and salary increment like?

I'm IT support/consultant now. Attached mainly to 1 client, providing support on their IT operational side. More on IT monitoring.

I'm joining Deloitte next Monday and I still can't buy a pair of black heels!!!! ( This is true.. I went to 3 parksons... and other shoe shops.. no 37/38 at all...! My budget is <rm100.. Is it weird or is it just my luck?)

dont give up if you read through the past few pages of this forum, you'll see that a few forumers were discussing failing the KPMG interview as well as what the big4 are looking for in terms of personality and behaviour.

oh and you could always apply again anyway

i had a friend who failed to get into any big 4 because of low cgpa and after working at mid size firm for a few years, he managed to secure an interview with KPMG as an audit senior recently.

I'm guessing you're either an ACCA affiliate or simply having very good Degree result that time, otherwise none of the big 4 will bother to invite.

I applied when my qualifications were 90% completion, just a matter of time I will officially hold both ACCA affiliate title and Degree, they didn't bother.

Once I officially completed (recently), all of them replied.

As of now KP, EY, BDO rejected me after interview (more or less I know the reason, not prepared enough I guess), pwc is my last shot now.
I would like to ask if you know the reason behind your failures that time? I sincerely hope that I will pass the pwc interview and kickstart my career.

ps: i'm actually working in other audit firm now, already 2 months, i can leave very soon as the notice period is short so no issue of switching, but will the fact that I worked before adversely affect my chances? I'm afraid they will mistook me as being disloyal.

Wow congratz. What position have you secured from them. Audit?

Went to pwc interview, the interview lasted about 15 or 20 min, all the questions i know how to answer because i was fully prepared this time, but i noticed:

1. I was expecting more questions from him, such as why pwc, current firm experience, strength weaknesses, why audit, work with different culture or not, what's the length of bus/airplane etc. But he didn't ask, good sign or bad?

2. One positive sign i heard is to have 1 hour interview, mine didn't last that long, is it bad?

3. His smile was bright while inviting me to room, but during the interview he's not smiling, I'm not sure whether he's just being serious, or he's getting turned off by me. Because at the beginning of introducing myself i may seem like i memorized the words beforehand, I'm not sure if this is no no. But overall i would say i presented myself very well.

Please advice, i have mixed feelings about the outcome

Thanks for the info! I visited their portal last night and was dumbfounded as the password reset required my preset password question and answer. Couldn't remember what in hell I set last time  HRavenue contact was nowhere to be found so I guess the only way is to call PwC?

guys, any idea on how to get response from deloitte? im applying for audit assistant position but got nothing so far since april 🤦🏻‍♂️ i tried everything, called them(never get to reached their HR), email them but received no reply from them. I cant even apply for a new application since my application is still active. I
