I have been offered the 30 mbps package, but not sure if my area has the 10mbps upload upgrade yet.

Petaling Jaya area.

I'm in Seapark area, already got the 10 Mbps since mid of Nov.

Guys, how's your download speed now for 30mbps subscibers?
Seems like I need to use vpn more frequently just to download at maximum speed
Otherwise, it just hovers around 100-200kbps instead of +3.5mbps.

for 4K movie download in future you need minimum 50Mbps connection...
*
Indeed!
Average size 4K UHD movie via torrent 30-60Gb per movie!

No torrents, just direct download links
For example

I have a cbox premium account, so I can just generate premium links from any file hosters
If I were to download mkv file

Without vpn = 200-400kbps
With vpn = +3.5 Mbps (max out my unifi easily)
This is not just from cbox, but also download from mega.co/mediafire
Now this doesn't happen all the time, but it's getting more frequently with slow speed

Sometimes I test out my connection by grabbing apple trailer

Without\With VPN = +3.5 mps

Speedtest.net can go up 30mbps, but not the same for downloading files on direct connection sweat.gif

Do I have to like get a specific ip address for more stable speed?

Sounds good, anymore problem for YouTube, etc?

Do you use the router provided or change to a new one?
*
No, no problems for Youtube. I'm using a Mikrotik RB2011 router. Been using this since VIP5 days.

That's what I said.. 100Mbps is needed maybe for the next 2-3years. 50Mbps is ok if u use alone, but if whole family use it? hahaha.

Interestingly it says faster than 52% of SG, so half of SG speedtest users are having connections that clocked lower than 30mbps. hmm.gif
