if you want to set it up for a repeater, you must either sacrifice HyppTV or Internet.

Because Hypptv must be plugged directly to the router for VLAN Taggingor else you will have to connect to a switch then connect the switch to BTU. No matter how you try to set it up, you will still have to plug it into VLAN supported router or switch. It doesn't just work magically without VLAN tagging. You can't just simply connect to repeater.
If I was you, I will pull a cable from the port that HyppTV supposed to plug in to wherever my TV are as long as it's within 100m.

I'm using tl-wr1043nd right now. The router is at 1st level. Can access the wifi from ground floor which is more than 10m without any problem. Further more its cheap compared to other brands.

I flashed with openwrt (version Chaos Calmer 15.05).

Which part of configuration that you would like to know? What is your router version? Version 1 or 2.

Since when you got it? I only tried mine on Monday because I came back on that day and it's already 10Mbps upload speed.
I'm also one of the early adopters and made complaint after they launched it officially on 15.10. Then got it after SKMM interference, I had to walk in to the nearest TM Point. Managed to reduce to RM 179 before GST now, with Aneka package.

Now I don't think you will need to complain, can straight walk in to the nearest TM Point. Thanks to us who made a lot of noises to SKMM.

I'm using TM stuff and connect to Xiaomi Nano Router as access point. I don't think it matters a lot because even I unplugged Xiaomi router, I still can get full speed. The reason why I use this Xiaomi router is because the WiFi signal is stronger when I'm in kitchen and toilet.

so the AP will handle the wifi part and router only routing part(in theory will have better performance but if your router is decent enough it doesn't matter much  )

yeap. connect your hypptv and xiaomi router to your tm router. don't connect to the wrong port though, I remember that there's a specific port to be used for hypptv and usually for internet too.

I previously was using TP Link MR-3420 then replaced it to Xiaomi. Nothing else changes. Just replaced my TP Link with Xiaomi. So, in a way I didn't go through the configuration using Xiaomi page.

Hye guys, got my 30M up and running in my apartment last Friday. Speed via LAN Cable hits 35M and consistently stays above 30M. However, the Wifi speed is just terrible. Placed my Laptop just beside the router and can hardly get anything pass 22M and in the rooms can hardly get beyond 12M. My Router is in the hall.

So Im looking for some cheap solution for the slow Wifi Speed. Right now im looking at this Xiaomi Mi MiniRouter. Is it any good?Anyone using it? Im just looking for a stable router which can provide good wifi speed.

Owh this is the setup im thinking of.

TM Modem -> TM Router -> Xiaomi Router

Past 2 week was ok, been using 30MBPS since 2 weeks ago.

ddwrt only either internet or iptv worked
oenwrt both working

Openwrt easy to set up..
Ddwrt I haven't try before so no comment on tht

if you are on asus it's much more simpler. I setup my router via command line interface.
