Wow! the Maxis Technicolor router tg748n not bad ah. Last night at my local kopi shop, got 35 active hosts, the router still working ok.

i didnt call SC for the upgrade....i just restart my router and got the 20mbps upload. so far i have no problem to get full download speed and full upload speed at the same time without QoS.

The only thing I lack of is time. I can do so many things with Internet but every night after work I really don't have much left.

Talking about Astro OTG, I will have to remind myself for my sister's account no. She just recently terminated my dad's old account and registered a new account which is cheaper and comes with HD.

For me, I called as a "complaint". But most here got it automatically a few days ago just by restarting their router/BTU.

Am I the only one who always face slow connection for my 30mbps? Torrent only 100kb/s. Supposedly can go up to 2.5mb

First time get 1ms ping. Anomaly?

mine always hitting 30mbps if its a good torrent

how to get it ? that the reason my parents don't want upgrade to unifi 30 because they want to talk as many as possible

Erm, for my case I didn't ask for it. TM just gave it to me.
Else, you can always buy the RM 20 package for free calls.

as for the free call, if add RM 20 then become RM 199 already lor, after GST RM 200+

They sent an EDM back in July and I registered my interest, then they called to offer me for the upgrade. Anyway, during the conversation, it was clearly mentioned to me that my free calls will be disabled. Since I never use my phone, I agreed.

Down the road in Oct, they launched this package at a cheaper price of RM 179 vs what I paid that time was RM 199. We, the early adopters got angry and complained to MCMC. TM called and told me they will honour me RM 179 but with the condition I will lose my free calls. That time, I was puzzled and I was thinking isn't it already removed since I upgraded in July?

Anyway, I didn't know I have free calls until recently, in December precisely. Found out that I actually have free calls but not sure since when as I have never checked this part before.

hmm, but until now I don't have any call from them at all, only got email to notify me got this new plan
as for the free call, is it you call those toll free number ? since call home number it won't display on the bill

You can always walk to TM Point to upgrade, that's the fastest way.

I didn't even install my cordless phone. I brought back to my sister's house so that she will have two sets of phone for upstairs and downstairs. So, not a single cent was charged to my bill before since I installed UniFi.

Finally got the 10mbps upload speed

i still didnt get it yet. but today i saw TM contractor doing something withthe cable in the man hole on the road. could be they upgrade the cable before upgrade my upload speed for my area? mine is kota kemuning btw.

Don't think so, the cables should support this kind of speeds without issues unless faulty.

i am using the 30mbps unifi advance package. lately I am experiencing this issue of slow downloading (less than 50kbps) on several direct download sites which before this (before late december/early jan 2016) I get consistent download speeds of bout 2mbps . The download speed returns to normal early in the morning till evening then it slows again from roughly 6pm - 4am or so.

The unusual thing is , this does not affect torrents. I get my normal torrent download speed of 1-2mbps consistently.

any way to check if Unifi throttled my direct download speed? or better still, if anyone has the same issue and has found a solution, kindly share.
