Last week, my SC 10.7L/100km. After almost 1 hour in the car idle, (with engine running) the SC increase up to 10.9L/100km.

Last 2 days, I tried to stay in the car (idle again), the SC increase to 11.2L/100km.

Wow, turbo cfe really makan minyak even though in idle mode? ohmy.gif

My preve is reaching 650km. Just a baby.

You meant Fuel Consumption FC? SC normally referring to Service Center..
btw, why would you want to left the car engine running idle for 1 hour, and doing in daily basis? You sleep inside the car is it? All petrol car FC sure increase cause the engine running but speed staying at 0, so more fuel needed to run for 100km.

contradict to petrol car, i found most people like to sleep inside their diesel-powered van (hiace, urvan), lorry. so i assume the diesel consume far lesser when engine running idle.

How is a bulk dyno TT arranged? And what is the typical dyno charge if go solo? Genuine curiosity.
Want to measure what is the default power before I plunk in some stuff in the future too.
*
Might be able to get RM150-RM200 for 2-3 runs if you just want to get some readings. If you want to tune on the spot, you may need a lot more rounds, maybe about 10 runs.

Sometimes a car club organizes dyno day for the car club. With good deals, it may only cost around RM200 for 10 runs.

If your car is stock, nothing to tune, then just pay for 3 runs and get the readings.

Hello Preve Owners

I am newbie here. I want to ask for opinion.

I am thinking to buy Preve. Using Viva makes me kinda skeptical about proton cars especially preve because my viva is so nice to me. But i need a pace of change and thinking that preve might the suitable choice when come to budget and probably maintenance.

So, I got offer to take 2014 Preve with 8k discount. Is it ok buy a car which not able to be sold for almost 2 years?

What about the components inside considering this car might be idle and the engine not started for almost 2 years?

Do you guys have trouble with 2014 preve?

Does it come with 6 airbags?

If you are using Viva, be prepared to spend at least 100% more on the fuel.

For new, unused car there should be no issue at all, just go for service in the first place.

Preve has A LOT of minor problems, but nothing significant on performance or parts reliability, only QC problems.

my minor problem so far:
Power window switch: when I auto up the window once it fully closes it reopen the window a bit. when i do it again it opens again. only the third-fourth time it closes properly.
LED at odometer/day led light: when i lock my car sometimes the led light doesn't go off, when I unlock and lock again only the light turns off.
my seat: it creaks and a bit not comfy
the handbrake: sometimes after parking when i pull up the handbrake, it locks for a moment before suddenly unlocks and goes down. i have to pull up again and recheck to make sure it locks in place.

any solution for these issues?

if you really want to compare maintenance and fc with your current viva, i'd say bad choice. especially for turbo version, the engine oil and those maintenance parts such as spark plug, might be 50-100% more expensive.

if you compare long distance driving comfort bigger space, then preve is the choice.

Under warranty, zero charge. Unless the defect is clearly your fault.

Seems like Proton is leaving Punch for Jatco, so, the current Punch CVt can switch to Jatco if failure?

It is in the same league as previous gen of Civic, maybe slightly more but relatively around that consumption level.

What else? Inefficient engine.

Bro mengsuan, quaz, thanks for the reply.
Sounds reasonable. Would get some dyno when I made up my mind to screw the warranty and get the exhaust done (before and after).
