does Preve CFE needs to use only syntium 3000....?...
*
I have used Synthium 800 for my Preve Turbo all the time. I used the Synthium 1000 only once as a service adviser mentioned that the Preve Turbo cannot use the Synthium 800 but 1000 and above. After I have found out that the service adviser has cheated me, I demanded for a refund and got my reimbursement back. The refund is not on the engine oil but other unnecessary charges and services which amount to about RM150. It took Proton about 3 to 4 months to process the reimbursement until the money was banked into my account.

That particular service adviser who caused the trouble was no longer working in the service centre anymore. Think he was fired or transferred to somewhere else.

FWIW I have not tried Synthium 3000 but the Preve Turbo drives better with the 800 than the 1000. The car's acceleration feels heavier with Syntium 1000. With the Synthium 800, the car feels lighter and accelerates better.

For the peace of mind, use 5000 or 7000 laugh.gif

It all comes down to the grade of the EO you need to compliment your driving pattern.

I only use Syntium 3000 for my CFE since i do not have any issue with this grade.

No, from 800 to 7000, it's your choice.

Mach 5 also can. I'm serious.

I've tried Syntium 1000, Shell Helix Ultra, Syntium 3000 then now Syntium 800. I would say the 3000 and 800 (even though semi synthetic) feels smooth by the feeling.

Anyone into enhancing the engine for more power? Anyone with dyno results etc?

I've been here in this thread for 2 years. I've never seen such discussion. Is everyone busy repairing their car? laugh.gif

depends on how serious and how determined you are lo...

for starters, you can always use the appropriate EO viscosity as per your manual, that you've even mentioned being smoother tongue.gif
but as some folks would disagree with me, directly modifying the engine would yield way better results than mere lubricants unless you insist on not touching the engine.

in which case, there's always boutique brands, and there's many many ways on how far you want to push it.
feel free to read up my pinned thread smile.gif

Nah I meant for Syntium, any Syntium is fine.

For dyno test, what is actually being tested?

Dyno tests for torque and HP curve to show what is pattern of power delivery and the max of each.

I have yet to went for one to find out how much (or little) my car has after a few mods. So far it has only been driver's feel, but recently some mods have went in and it really felt significant across the whole RPM range.

How is a bulk dyno TT arranged? And what is the typical dyno charge if go solo? Genuine curiosity.
Want to measure what is the default power before I plunk in some stuff in the future too.

Last week, my SC 10.7L/100km. After almost 1 hour in the car idle, (with engine running) the SC increase up to 10.9L/100km.

Last 2 days, I tried to stay in the car (idle again), the SC increase to 11.2L/100km.

Wow, turbo cfe really makan minyak even though in idle mode? ohmy.gif

My preve is reaching 650km. Just a baby.
