Which Proton SC? CoSE? Btw, not all SC allows insurance claim.

Is this your car? If it is, sorry about that. Very unlucky indeed. Flying stones usually come more often from large lorries, or sports cars with wide tyres 235 and above, and when traveling at higher speeds. But looks like this time it's coming from a Myvi.

Damn I regret my decision to test drive the premium ONLY after I booked the exec. Hp agreement already signed and all.. haha if want change so tedious, I kinda need the car urgently.

But..but..preve premium so syiok!! The one I test drove, couldn't hear any rattling (maybe not yet? Haha), also I read previously ppl said if stop uphill, car will slightly reverse, where got? response ok la where got sluggish (or maybe my feeling), hopefully exec is not as well. my first car was subaru b4 gt 2001 when I was in New Zealand.

Anyway, I'm new member, been reading this forum since last week, so nice got many infos from sifu2. Hehe. Hopefully will get my white exec next week.

guys, got my first service it was supposed to be rm147 but i was charged 198 due to additional X1R oil.
The guy said for non turbo cars need to fill in that oil

No, from 800 to 7000, it's your choice.

the SC told me that CFE version must use Syntium 3000....because the turbo system in the car needs Syntium 3000....and he said cannot use other than Syn 3000.....

i think he is lying...am i right...?...

Bullshit, they just want you to pay more.

Any Syntium will work fine with your car, up to your preference. You can challenge them to prove where it is stated that only Syntium 3000 is allowed. Call Proton HQ in front of them.

Go to different service center.

My SC told me if use mineral oil, service interval is 5k km or 3 months, whichever is earlier.  If use Syntium 3000 or higher (synthetic oil), service interval is 10k km or 6 months.  So, in the end I use Syntium 3000.

Syntium 800 (semi) can go 10k km, but 'recommended' to just go 5k km.
Syntium 1000, 3000, 5000, and 7000 are all full synthetic, they can go up to 15k (recommended 10k) with no actual problem.

SC would want to stick with the recommendation mileage because, more money. Now for cars still under warranty, you have to follow the recommendation set.

But there's not ever that for CFE we can only use Syn3000. That's just SC being unethical by misleading customers.
