I just got my Preve CFE Premium. Now reaching 500km, and I noticed:

1) Sound of air leak at left rear passenger side during speeding more than 90kmph
2) Car like swinging/goyang/hayun at 70kmph-100kmph
3) Car swinging/goyang/hayun again while braking from >60kmph to 0kmph.

Did anyone experience one of this? I'm a bit worry because the car is still very new. A week old.

And got some more question. I got an SD card with the latest pre-installed GPS but it seems doesn't fit into the Blaupunkt audio video unit. The slot is a bit smaller. Asked my agent, he said that I can change it at any Proton service center for free. Is it true?

And I want to ask, the steering, does it illuminates at dark? Like Inspira? Mine doesn't.

Goyang has too many reasons. Need to get everything from tyres, alignment, balancing, suspension to brakes checked.
Steering buttons have no lights.

Thank you.
But, is it possible to do the alignment and balancing before my first service due? Does it interrupt with my warranty later on?

My new Preve's SD card does not fit in to the Blaupunkt SD slot. My agent said that I can change it foc at any SC. Is it true? Is there anybody got the same situation?

Last week, my SC 10.7L/100km. After almost 1 hour in the car idle, (with engine running) the SC increase up to 10.9L/100km.

Last 2 days, I tried to stay in the car (idle again), the SC increase to 11.2L/100km.

Wow, turbo cfe really makan minyak even though in idle mode? ohmy.gif

My preve is reaching 650km. Just a baby.

You meant Fuel Consumption FC? SC normally referring to Service Center..
btw, why would you want to left the car engine running idle for 1 hour, and doing in daily basis? You sleep inside the car is it? All petrol car FC sure increase cause the engine running but speed staying at 0, so more fuel needed to run for 100km.

contradict to petrol car, i found most people like to sleep inside their diesel-powered van (hiace, urvan), lorry. so i assume the diesel consume far lesser when engine running idle.
*
haha. sorry, my bad. it's FC=fuel consumption.
I slept in the car after finishing my night shift. Hrmm. I really need to sleep somewhere else before get into the car. Sayang minyak oo.

Does your power window switch panel bulge up too when the window is fully up? Again, I was told by SC that that's the way it is for Preve and Suprima.
*
yes. my switch window panel bulging up while the window is fully closed.

I think we're referring to the same thing. I just make sure I don't rest my arm on the panel when winding up the window lest my bulu tangan would get caught.  rclxub.gif

I got my window panel fixed at SC. Hurry, save your bulu tangan! haha

anyone experience steering vibration and tilting right-left-right-left with speed above 110kmph for preve premium 2015?

well I had. bought the car november 2015.

at first, i thought it was because of the balancing/alignment/air pressure issues. but then, it became bothersome as this is raya season that made me worried more.

went to proton sc, and the supervisor said that i need to check with tyre workshop.

went to Lim Tayar (dataran wangsa branch), the mechanic inspected all my 4 stock tyres (the GT Radial), and said that all the tyres are considered "not-round" anymore (in layman term) - as if you leave the car not moving under the sun for months. not because of the alignment issue.

then i ended up changing all 4 tyres to Continental Contimax Contact MC5 and it turned out fine.

therefore, i recommend Lim Tayar for any issue regarding tyres rclxms.gif

previosuly i do have slightly wind noise over there.. i told them and ask them fix it, they had changed the rubber seal.. but seems like more worse.. more noisier.. so i read the forum and they said use play doh to identified which location.. i found is top 2 corner of Small window at C pillar there after i applied the same method to stuck the 2 corner with stickey things.. later i go home and plan to use tape and try see.. if can temporary solve it then i will report it back tonight.. at least we know what is the root cause so when go to SC, we demo and tell them the root cause so they cant defend ady.. last time they blame my tyres too.. now i changed tyres ady..
*
yeah. i got that noisy problem too. and some friends with preve premium said, it may be due to the noisy stock tyres. but why the wind noise came only from the left rear side kan?
but i wonder, if the rubber seal is not sealed well, so why no water leak from the window pane during carwash?

I need an advice on how to actually drive a Preve Turbo uphill and downhill. E.g., when driving on LPT 1 Bukit Tinggi from Kuantan-KL (downhill), I can hear my engine sound vroooooooommmm and the rpm reaches >3500 (not accelerate). Should I just press the brake continuously? So scary shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif
And when uphill, I have to press the pedal until it vroooooooooommmm and rpm reaches >3500

And how to use Gear S?
hehe

use the S gear when you need to drive uphill or overtaking. it gives the car more power (the RPM goes higher) but also burns more fuel.

just don't use S all the way when you balik kampung!  laugh.gif

is that why the engine sounds vvvvrooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

turbo mah. if not vroom then no shiok!  laugh.gif

another reminder for newbie to turbo cars. don't immediately switch off the car after you've parked. let it idle for a minute or two. this is to prevent the oil from coking up in your engine. it's a bit like bad cholesterol.
*
thank you for the info. but errr... won't the engine burn more fuel if it left for a period of time in idle?
