QUOTE(zheilwane @ Aug 29 2017, 04:10 PM) Yearly replacement cost will be RM 600, if high usage may b 8 to 10 months once. Hence, most purchase it for condo with limited space and low water consumption Do you have any recommendation for external filter? am looking for low replacement cost.

QUOTE(alan8311 @ Aug 29 2017, 05:03 PM) Do you have any recommendation for external filter? am looking for low replacement cost. sand filter is the lowest maintenance cost. Water filter indoor u r targeting cosway or water dispenser type like coway? if dispenser type, getting an under sink filter and a dispenser separately will save on maintenance cost as well Eg : 1) Rental Scheme by most brand RM 100 per month, 1 year RM 1200 2) Under sink filter like aquaphor cost RM 450 for yearly replacement, hence u save RM 750 per year but you need to pay RM 2.5k for initial machine cost This post has been edited by zheilwane: Aug 29 2017, 05:21 PM

QUOTE(Ch33r @ Aug 29 2017, 11:54 AM) It is not said bad for health, just RO water is water that very clean which is just like died water, lack of all minerals that we needed, mostly is for kidney failure ppl. It is based on what we needed to choose the filter. i just bought a xiaomi RO water filter recently online due to its attractive price. regretted now that didnt do some research before hand... some article even said that RO water will wash away your body electrolyte and mineral, how true is that

Seems like alkaline water was not being discussed actively discussed here. Having trouble to convince my parents not to buy a Kangen for 12K while Panasonic has its highest spec of ionizer selling for 5k.
So if I were to take alkaline water (insisted by parents who brainwashed by salesman, I surf through and see no harm having alkaline water),
I think the best set-up here locally I can have is to get, one Aquaphor Solo (as strongly recommended ) for 1st filtering process, then a Panasonic Alkaline Ionizer for for 2nd processing.
Any comment?

Any decent quality outdoor filter below 1k? Today saw Intact at PWTC. They claimed that they're using 7 layers sand which is more effective than other.

You can also buy a mineral cartridge and put it in your RO water reservoir to mineralize the RO water. As for RO water wash away the minerals, I personally think this is not true. Kidneys control water excretion, it removes only urea, excess salts, and toxin. I don't think kidneys remove essential minerals from our body. Definitely a good buy

Moreover PFS is mainly as a prefilter, no carbon, hence not suitable as drinking water system unless together with DWS2500-C then it is a complete system If buy the cheap CTM-01 and can fit a filter that cost RM3k, no1 gonna buy the RM3k
