2 days ago, the BR officer said in order to solve my lowered interest rate by 0.10% issue, the BR officer
suggested me to withdraw my 5 years FD (2 more years to go), then use the money to place another
new FD for 1 year at 4.25%....!!!
I cannot imagine how stupid is this BR staff...  mad.gif

hahaha so silly!

thanks man.

I went for the RHB FD ASNB bundle today. The officer recommended that I go for funds like RHB OSK or new ones after the FD matures. She said Singapore investment will be more stable compared to local funds. Is that true?

Should i go for RHB OSK,Public mutual or Kenanga? or any other suggestions for a low- medium risk investment?

Sorry, I'm still new to these things and am a slow learner, hope some sifus can teach me a thing or two. smile.gif

Thanks

really?

in the Kota Kemuning branch, whenever i ask if 1 day old money in savings account can be considered fresh funds, the staff macam dont want to answer directly. When i keep persisting for an answer, she asked, "why not you use banker's cheque?"

I said banker's cheque ma fan, have to line up in other banks... then she replied "If the money enters the account today, it's only considered fresh funds today. Tomorrow cannot"

So I said "I'll use RENTAS then" she terus diam

Dont know why they dont want to treat IBG money as "fresh". Only want banker's cheque
*
I think we can ask the bank what is the policy of fresh fund definition. I went to a bank and the front counter staff said need fresh fund for promo FD rate. I told him why dont you check with your superior sitting at the back. His boss said okay, the money in my saving account can be considered as fresh fund.

In your case, did you withdraw cash from the saving account and open the FD or did the bank made transfer from your saving and open the FD?

You need to open an Affin saving account to let the FD principal + FD interest to be
deposited to your saving account upon FD maturity.
