Hi.. Need some help from all of u guys. I want to buy air cond for my living room size 24x18 feet, facing sunlight and accommodate 5 peoples.
Been quoted hisense 2hp inverter 2.1k with installation. Other japanase or korean brand add rm300-400.
I prefer air cond that has swing function horizontal and vertical and also the best in cooling performance.
So, what is recomended hp or btu for my place and what model might suit my criteria. Tq

hey im planning to buy air conds for my bedrooms and living room
Room 1 - 130 feet area with 13 feet high wall Room 2 - 100 feet area with 13 feet high wall Living room - 300 feet area with 13 feet high wall
both room have 2*4 windows.
is it adequate to buy 1hp daikin inverter for the rooms, or should i increase it to 1.5hp?
for the living room, which would be a better choice? 2 units of 1.5hp inverter or 1 unit of 2.5hp inverter or 1 unit of 3.0hp inveter.

I had a chat with a support tech for my problem with electronics failure (see my posts on the previous page) and he suggested getting a non-inverter instead. After some searching online it seems like inverter air cons have a higher failure rate because of insects/geckos shorting out the electronics.

Isn't the probability of insect / geckos shorting same with inverter and non-inverter? I mean the enclosure to protect the PCB board design should be similiar and is not dependant on whether it is inverter or non-inverter.

QUOTE(wuoi @ May 24 2017, 12:10 PM) Aircond almost 10yrs now. 12mth x 10yrs = 120mth. Bill save every month RM100x40% = RM40/mth (put it at RM30 or 30%) 120mth x RM30 = RM3600. Enough for me to 1) buy new panasonic inverter air con now for RM2688 2) Left RM912 for future service.

QUOTE(Windywulandari @ May 24 2017, 02:39 PM) agreed, those problems can be solved when you clean it every week or call for the foreman to service and deeply cleaning for your aircon. For me, i will call them to check every half year and normally i will ask them to check, clean and adding gas. Inverter is just helping you save electrical consumption to reduce your bill. Btw i am quite curious on how they rank the aircon for 5 stars or 4 stars or whatever? do we actually need to 'top up' gas oftenly?

air cond refrigerant is close loop there's no need to "top up" gas. top up gas is technician way of earning extra pocket money from you. If it leaks...everything will be gone...not 10%, 20%

I mean the enclosure to protect the PCB board design should be similiar and is not dependant on whether it is inverter or non-inverter. The inverter design will be more complicated, will have extra sensitive power electronics making it more prone to damage from insects crawling inside. But the more recent inverter models at least for some if not all brands I hear have made some changes to be more reliable however.

Hi all Recently i was quoted by 1 aircond installer with the following pricing
standard installation with 10 feet copper piping etc: Rm230 Additional copper/feet: RM18, and it require additional 30 feet water pump for water disposal: RM250
it ended up to be Rm1,080++ after tax to install 1 AC, which is more expansive than the AC itself. Make sense?
by the way this is apartment, and the additional is because we need to put the compressor at the designated area. Anyone face the same issue before, and how you address it?

I have non inverter air con in my guest room, usually not used or at most once or twice a year. Is it advisable to switch the aircon on once a month or no need at all?

Is it advisable to switch the aircon on once a month or no need at all? For Any electronic items, its not advisable to keep it stored and not used. Yeah, do turn it on one in a while. Also note that the remote compartment, battery as well, at time, if its not used, then there might be some leaking as well.
