Hey guys, I am looking at Panasonic Aerowings for my master bedroom. Daily used at night for 5-6 hours. Is this a good choice? Any other better recommendation? Thank you for the advise? http://www.panasonic.com/my/consumer/home-.../cs-s10tkh.html

QUOTE(ju146 @ May 24 2017, 08:44 PM) Hi all Recently i was quoted by 1 aircond installer with the following pricing standard installation with 10 feet copper piping etc: Rm230 Additional copper/feet: RM18, and it require additional 30 feet water pump for water disposal: RM250 it ended up to be Rm1,080++ after tax to install 1 AC, which is more expansive than the AC itself. Make sense? by the way this is apartment, and the additional is because we need to put the compressor at the designated area. Anyone face the same issue before, and how you address it? quite normal for 30ft extension. Find nearer place or take risk for non-designated place.

Which is the real thing? Some fella said that Group Associates who used to manufacturing York aircond sold off York to Chinese company and then the same manufacturing plant use to build Daikin now. So they say Daikin is York. To me Daikin is Daikin Japan and they have their own technology. So which is the real thing?

QUOTE(irwan6179 @ May 31 2017, 11:26 PM) Great! Saved in total length or cost per feet? Managed to settle at 750. The previous contractor was so dishonest by marking up the total copper piping. And he is also the first contractor tell me apartment been can been drilled! The contractor was from Servis hero with high rating, damn!

Hi Sifu sifu sekalian, This is the 1st time I am buying aircond for my room and I did some reading on this thread and some other review on airconds... The more i read the more confuse i got lol...Need sifus here to enlighten me as i do not have experience at all on aircond...
-1.0HP is enough i believe -Aircond for master room(apartment type) -usage 10pm to 4am(6 hours) weekend randomly might on during afternoon
Questions: 1. inverter vs non inverter will it affect the electric bill much? My bill now is around RM40-50/month 2. overall which brand is good in terms of reliability, cooling, after sales service? my own conclusion is daikin sounds ok for me but i am not sure 3. is it true the more feature it is, the higher chances it breakdown?
Thanks

i have a very low ceiling height, about 9.35ft tall. was advised to do false ceiling to run the aircond piping from two bedrooms and the living room (condo). both rooms are located left and right of the living room. in a dilemma right now, not totally against the idea of false ceiling but because the condo is already very small and i still need to fix the ceiling fan, this lowered ceiling is definitely troubling me. the service yard is located at the other end which is why the recommended false ceiling to run the pipes to save cost.
condo owners, what are your experiences?
btw, the contractor said the pipes not advisable to bend 90degrees, which makes my options even lesser to run against the wall (which a cove lighting should be good to cover up).
