Recently less comments on Mitsubishi aircon, how is the quality for both ME and MHI range of product?

Currently survey on the MHI and ME aircond and found MHI SRK13YL are bit better MSY0GJ13VA in term of the power efficiency.. but wonder which one more prefered?

any comment towards these two model? thanks

The new models are Daikin GA, which is actually the old YORK. The new YORK ACs are now rebadged from Midea or Haier.

The older Daikin is from Daikin Thailand, which is also the original Daikin.

Daikin Malaysia does sell the original Daikin, which is directly from Japan. Just that you need to pay a hefty price tag and it comes only with R32 refrigerant.

Compare to Daikin and Daikin Ga, Daikin definitely is better but Daikin GA is good as well just that we are used to people saying Daikin AC very quiet and we got the same assumption when we buy Daikin GA AC. But that is not the case, buying Daikin GA AC is actually buying the older YORK AC. YORK AC are not meant to be quiet, it is meant to  be powerful and cold albeit slightly noisier than DAIKIN AC.

Everything is the same as the older YORK AC except the compressor. You can try to import Daikin AC from Thailand if you want the quietness. There is no doubt Daikin AC Inverter is the quietest among all the other brands of inverter available.

You can always ask the AC contractors around. They will tell you that Daikin is the quietest for the inverter range.

i got two unit of Daikin Thailand installed, the quietness is really superb until you wont notice its on or not...
the only drawback is the cooling capability is slower... its really energy saving, no regret to get inverter...

I find this model airflow noise quite loud.

For ME Any recommendation? MHI and ME which one better in term of reliability and cooling power?

Currently using Daikin (non york version) and tend to try ME, but wonder is this is correct move.

MHI quality is better and originally made from Japan/Thailand. ME is a sub brand from Mitsubishi itself to target residences market.

MHI, my colleague experience this. He changed an inverter 13000btu, however he claim not cold enough, even with temp set at 18C. He ask the MHI technician come and they claim the aircond work normal, ask him to set the fan to the max. He said really regret to get MHI as the coldness not as his expect and he still feel very warm in his room .

This is my case, i using daikin made in thailand (original daikin model) 13000btu and my room is bigger than him, i set the temp at 25 with fan set at 1 and I already can feel the coldness.

So, i still wonder whether to get MHI or ME, or just stick to daikin (thai model 24000btu above) model

Currently wanna buy 2HP aircond
The electrical shop owner recommend

MHI None inverter series which he claim got 5 star which the power consumption almost same as MHI inverter
When asking Daikin, he mentioned recently model board failed easily which not recommended
however when study in power efficiency between Daikin and MHI for 2HP inverter, look like Daikin win from spec, with higher EER, stronger air flow, higer BTU too 18500BTU vs 17060BTU if compare with MHI.

Not forgot to mention Daikin also cheaper than MHI..

in dilemma now, MHI or Daikin....

if you open space like the hall, buy normal without inverter but with R410. the inverter does not help when you use in open space. it will consume more electricity.

then find reliable with long warranty from vendor such 5 years warranty compressor warranty.

i will go with daikin if you compare with MHI

Any thought why you choose DAIKIN? Mind to share?

I'm using national, panasonic, daikin until now, considering of MHI esp alot ppl said MHI/ME with their superior cooling ability and cost saving, however when one spec comparing, Daikin look like better than MHI...

I am using non inventer MHI now but my compressor caput after 3 years using. lucky got warranty. when check spare part, freaking expensive.

daikin is good as it based on lagendary york. daikin also cheap compare to MHI, spare part also easy to find and warranty cover same as MHI. that my reason why choose daikin.

Very thank you for your sharing. Guess i think just stick back to Daikin, i did got a chance to visit friend house who installed MHI at living room, tried to test the coldness from air blew from the unit, not so cold if compare with Daikin or panasonic.

same here, 4 years, after switch from panasonic to daikin..
cant barely heard the sound if the aircond fan is at min setting... will stick to daikin

I'm looking to buy a new aircon and i thought daikin is good brand. But some how went to a few shops they kept commenting that Daikin aircon is very noisy.
Asked them what noise is that, they said the inside unit wind blowing sound and compressor also very noisy.

Is that true Daikin AC very noisy?

By the way, a few shops kept pushing for Electrolux. I hardly heard of Electrolux famous for aircon. Any opinion about their AC?
*
this is the first time i heard Daikin aircond is noisy...
i got two FTKC 35 and 50 inverter series R22 made in thailand model, my comment is Daikin indoor unit very silent even at full blast still not as loud as my old panasonic model.

The implementation of anti mould cleaning is straight forward, where the fan rotate at the very slow speed after you switch OFF for 1-2 hours until the condenser fin dried up. You can simply switch to fan only mode (air circulation) after used at slow speed for 1-2 hours will do the same thing.
*
yes you are right, mine one got anti mold function, just when it switch off the mild wind will still keep blowing from the unit until it completely shutdown

All 3 different electrical shops tried to convinced me it's noisy and try to ask me to switch regardless which any other brand seems to be better than Daikin.
I guess is the commission.

for me, daikin quite silent, from the first day install i barely notice my aircond sound during wake up at night, if compare with panasonic or national which you can easily hear sound from aircond unit...

Hi, I'm considering a 2.0 HP non inverter aircond for my living area.
At beginning i was aiming Daikin FTKV (made in thai) where i am using Daikin for 5 years and none of the unit (Made in Thai) give me any trouble. It cold, quiet and energy saving too. Since only left the flagship model is thai made, from the local made model its look just like old YORK (which very famous for its noise previously) .

Now i aiming a ME unit where the non inverter EER is a good as inverter series (i know cannot direct compare), the only concern is it still using R410A and i wonder if the cooling power is as good as other ME R32 model.

I personally does not prefer R410A where from what i observed from MHI, PANA, DAIKIN, GREE even thought the temp were set at 18, the air blown was not cold if compare with R22 aircond.

Should i get ME R410A since on paper spec is really promising... Or just other ME R32 series? Any thought?
