Well, after reading from V1 till now, I can only say it is hard to conclude anything on which is better.
But if you are considering maintenance cost and spare part cost, inverter sure cost way higher.
If you really need unbiased review, forum will not be the place. An electric appliance shop near your area that already operating > 20 years or air cond technician that always busy(which won't waste time boasting in forums) are the right person for your questions.

It all depends on how you use the aircond. For example, living room, how often u on the aircon and how long did you leave it on? If you only on it said once in awhile said when it is hot in the afternoon and only for 2hrs only, inverter does not help to save cost here. But in bedroom you may on it for 5 or 6hrs everyday definitely inverter will help in the long run. This is the advise I get from my trusted aircond provider when I am looking for aircond the last time. So living room, guest room all non inverter....regular bedroom or occupant like to use aircond when sleeping then inverter.

Hmmm....seeing a lot of discussion on Daikin, Panasoni or MHI. What about Hitachi? They're good at refrigerator, what about their airconds? So far my experience is just one unit of their 1hp model and had no problem with it. Anyone else use Hitahi can comment on it.

AirCon expert can help me here. Room size is 15ft by 13ft and height of ceiling is 10ft. Base on this site https://www.energystar.gov/products/heating...ers_product_tab cooling capacity needed is 6000 btu/hr and so 1hp aircond is sufficient.

But if I use this calculator http://www.dry-it-out.com/Index.aspx?Page=cooling-calculator cooling capacity is 11849 btu/hr and therefore 1.5hp aircond is needed.

So which is the right way to find the right size of aircond for the rooms?

Generally 1 hp can only support up to 150 sqft (assuming all other factors like windows sealing, number of occupancy in the room around 2 persons etc.). Yours is 195 sqft, thus you will need 1.5 hp.

Thanks....so this calculator http://www.dry-it-out.com/Index.aspx?Page=cooling-calculator cooling capacity will be accurate.

Which is the real thing? Some fella said that Group Associates who used to manufacturing York aircond sold off York to Chinese company and then the same manufacturing plant use to build Daikin now. So they say Daikin is York.
To me Daikin is Daikin Japan and they have their own technology. So which is the real thing?
