Invest in a thermometer that logs and connect to your phone. You’d be surprised that with an inverter it doesn’t get too dry.

I noticed humidity doesn’t go below 60% so it’s acceptable.

I do have a thermometer + hygrometer at my living room. For my bedroom I have an air purifier that display temperature and humidity info as well (Sharp KC-F30L). Usually on dry mode I noticed the humidity will go as low around 40% after 1 - 2 hours, but that's what make the whole area feel cool eventhough I set the temprature to 27c

This was after i switched off the aircond and the humidity slowly increased back

Weirdly enough for my bedroom I also noticed the humidity around 35 - 40% after turning on my inverter aircond for 1 hour @ 24c

But dry mode at the living room for few hours usually I do feel my eyes and lips getting dry

You can try home automation with smart temp/humidity monitor and smart IR blaster. Use it to change the aircon mode when the humidity exceed or drop below certain level. That's what I use when I stay at hometown.

Nice setup you have there! Mine is a super low tech Xiaomi meter that runs on CR2025 battery. Care to share what's the top and bottom thingy?

My Panasonic has that dongle, to allow control over their own Comfort Control apps... but there's no automation function in there, and TBH that app UI/UX is crap. Sigh. But I like your suggestion and I would like to implement.

Can share what you use? Alternatively.. I could keep my bedroom A/C on 24/7 on dry mode.. since it is an inverter.. just need to find the sweet spot in terms of settings.

Its a Tuya based thermometer + hygrometer, running on 2x AAA battery. Not that expensive actually

https://s.lazada.com.my/s.Q1JCk

The bottom screen is a Tuya zigbee hub to connect and control all my Tuya smart home device

Mitsubishi aircond actually have a mode to switch between Cool and Dry automatically depending on the detected temperature call iFeel mode. Above 25c it will set Cool mode, below 25c it will switch to Dry mode. I've yet to try it though

Hi sifus, want to ask for such home layout. Does having 2.5HP ceiling cassette aircond at the ‘star’ area enough?
Ceiling height 10ft

One thing is that it is more ex, harder for maintenance or more extensive for maintenance, it lower down ur ceiling height (of course for bungalow that the ceiling height is way higher it is not a concern), and if it is having issue like leaking etc. it can cause more troubles than normal wall mount types.

Just my 2 cents.

Is it normal to have the airconditioner compressors NOT BOLTED to the metal brackets?

Would there be any issues screwing into the metal brackets?

Kinda scared it could easily topple and kill someone.

The correct way would be bolted with isolation mounts, but at the very least should be bolted/screwed.

If you’re never told them to blotted.
There is no bolts at all. That is typical installer

The left unit seems a bit narrow for compressor to blow air out.

Thank you. Due to safety concerns, I think I might just ask the installer to remove the rusty bracket/frame, install a new one and make sure they bolt it in.

I'm looking at the Midea All Easy Pro Inverter as apparently, it is easy to clean and can take out the motor for cleaning too. Someone also mentioned the app having more intricate scheduling such as certain temp after x hours and can change temp again after x hours.

Any comments? Looking at 5 stars energy efficient inverter and has good app functionality. Bonus points if can pair with google home or other smarthome apps

RM2.6k for a 2.0hp unit with installation.

Good choice. I just change to this model also. Use less electricity compare to my old non inverter one.
