Signed on to a bunch of York air cons and a Panasonic mini cassette during the recent homedec for my ongoing reno. Any comment on this? For me York is like a old trusted brand but my contractor tells me the York nowadays are not good anymore. I have a choice to change them all to Panasonic (only paid a deposit) if I wish.

You need to keep the air-cond on for 6-8hours daily in order to see the result and recommend to keep the temperature above ^22.  My house and office room both also on Daikin inverter and the electric bill is cheaper compared to non inverter. Inveter doesn't helps to save electric, if u set to lowest temperature with jz a few hours usage per day.
For those who turn on air-cond for long usage. It's good to pick inverter. Otherwise, just go for non-inverter. Cheaper price
Yeah, Inverter is not cheap in both air-cond and parts.
To me price is not an issue, as long as the spare part is easy to get.
My previous china brand air cond, always run out of stock. Now changed different brand, no more such issue.

I bought 2 (1.5 HP) inverter airconds last year. When I called Panasonic I was advised to set it at 27 degrees and eco and use for 6 or 8 hours to see the savings.  I saw some savings for 2 months but everyone complained the aircond was not cold enough! After the complaints, it is set to 21 degrees and my bills was more or less the same like our old airconds without inverter.

panasonic have a lot of motor.. the swing left/right and up/down have 2 motors.. 1 more motors is like frost transparent to focus wind on certain area one.. separately parts.. my AC mostly broke on this part.. LOL.. in the end, leave it as manual..

inverter definitely save more energy if you set at right temperature and choose right horsepower.. it depend on your room/location whether facing to sunlight, your setting temperature and how long duration u going to use..

remember, AC will trying to achieve the temperature u set on remote.. if you set 27celcius, AC might working 15 minutes to achieve the temperature and it's going to maintain that temperature.. thus inverter compressor will slow down and use lesser energy.. if you set at 20celcius, AC might need more than 30 minutes to achieve that temperature..

if your room is not facing any sunlight, lesser heat, the temperature will not fluctuate so frequent, then AC inverter work better for you.. if your room facing sunlight and a lot of heat, hardly to maintain the temperature.. really dependable on each room/house usage..

The manufacturer has sent technician to check today. They said this is normal compressor operating noise. R32 compressor design is different with my previous old Toshiba R22 so the operating noise is different. Operating noise for R32 compressor is higher pitch while R22 on lower frequency tone. They have checked the refrigerant and electrical current, everything in normal spec no abnormality...

Luckily this is not installed for my sleeping room, else I won't be able to sleep.

R410a is just a refrigerant. It can be ran with inverter or non inverter.

Just helped my parent doing aircond cleanup. Shxx, the indoor unit got so many small mushroom-shaped dust or fungus? That is on cooling coil after air filter, seems those dust can penetrate air filter.

Any way can prevent such dust/fungus? So geli...

ytd night my mother complain the room aircond compressor is noisy (mitsubishi 1hp). Upon investigation it's the new Daikin R32 compressor at living room operating noise. OMG that new compressor at first floor under eaves and it's so loud noisy till 2nd floor indoor sleeping room can heard... speechless and i think long term we will be suffering...

anyone here used compressor sound blanket wrap before? any installer can do this without voiding the compressor warranty?

Hello sifus. Im planning to get an aircond. Room is very small so a 1hp ac will be more than enuf.

My plan is to install a new ac next week. Im planning of buying an inverter daikin ac since i plan on buying a new unit, I plan to be using it as long as it lasts.

Now my question is, should i buy inverter or non inverter? Im usually working most of the time and is only home past 6 or 7pm everyday. I doubt my usage will last longer than 5 hours everyday and i dont use the aircond if the weather is not unbearably hot.

On weekends, i might be lazing off thus i will use the aircond maybe more than 8 hours while i game on my pc.

So, should i get inverter or non inverter? Will my bill be very different or just negligible?

Anyone who owns 1hp ac that uses their ac more than 8hours everyday here? How much is your electrical bill?
Lets say if i use my ac 5 hours everyday, how much will my bill be?

Nobody said that Panasonic is a good aircon brand, except those saleman.
1hp Panasonic model, inverter or non, can skip it.
Go for daikin or Mitsubishi electric.

Inverter aircon can use in cold rains or hot weather.
Nothing to worried about on and off to make you feel uncomfortable.

Can easily search my posts in this thread, all the way I am recommended inverter unit. But nobody wanna try to install inverter, most of Malaysian go for cheaper model, got cold air good than enough.

That is why R32 non inverter model still alive in year 2024 Malaysia.
Singapore non inverter model, discontinued in 10 years ago 😂

R32 vs R410a

Personally I feel R32 cools faster but R410a feels more colder at the same set temp. However R410a does consume more electricity than R32.
