Also, please impute 6% for GST and this will be based on item price + shipping cost. Any savings could then evaporate. Only reason to buy online is when the item cannot be found here. Alternatively, one could venture south across the causeway.

Quite a lot of LG model, if I remember correctly 500-1000USD. I only managed to find one or two here, and the price sweat.gif
Other like Dell HP Samsung's curved monitor that could be find here, also much cheaper ( below 1000USD ).

The only monitor that's cheaper here are the highest end like Acer predator and Asus ROG.

That's the reason I gave up. After add up shipping and GST ( I forgot that earlier ), it's very near RM4K already, no point take the risk then.

I checked the price of Amazon for LG 34 inch curved and it is not cheap?
Do check out my sales thread though.. I bring in most if not all LG models.
I seem to be the only seller for LG curved but not much people come and ask also.. So, I was wondering if it's because my price too high or just Malaysian market small.

Newegg has some very good deals. I've seen the X34 go as low as USD699, down from USD1100, during "sales". This of course, is good if we were living in the US

Not sure your price, but those older model 34" curved should be around 750-800USD, but then we're not at US cry.gif After add shipping and GST all those, price shakehead.gif

IHMO, market really tiny. If one need large screen entertainment solution will go high end TV, gamer go 144Hz monitor. People willing to pay this stupid high price for monitor, are enthusiast.

Regarding LG, I think because most of their ultrawide arent for gaming.

At best, LG/Samsung monitors only have Freesync, no G-sync

Yes. But snaps back to 21:9 in-game.
*
The snapping is smooth and without sound from monitor electronic board hardware? Or with tek tek sound ?

Thats what im afraid too. If smooth im definately good with it but if there is electronic frequency flikering sound everytime switching from 16:9 and 21:9, i will definately say no.

Nope, nothing of that sort. That sounded like the monitor was switching between input only?

This is not curve, and not 3440x1440 resolution, nor do it have G-sync. Those 3.8-4K you mentioned are curved, 1440P and with G-sync.

Not saying this is not good, for the price it's really good consider it has freesync.

EDIT: Correction, 3.8K most probably are Z35 that are curved and g-sync but 1080P.

if you sit normal distance when viewing PC monitor, this LG 24 FHD screen will look blurry because the PPI will be so low. I personally don't recommend FHD for monitor bigger than 28". Best for FHD limit at 24"

Haha, actually this is what I'm looking for.. 34" 1080p, its basically a wider 27" 1080p then I guess its acceptable. I'm currently using a 23" 1080p which will be a huge leap for me. In Malaysia there is very very less 34" 1080p monitors.

I guess its the same as 1080p 27" quality right? I'll have to go to retail shops to take a look. I once survey for 27" 1080p .. its not that bad.

If 1080p is your thing, you may want to wait for the new Acer Predator Z1 series. News updates here for 32" and 30".

For those (like me) waiting for the X34P, news here.
