Quite a lot of LG model, if I remember correctly 500-1000USD. I only managed to find one or two here, and the price  sweat.gif
Other like Dell HP Samsung's curved monitor that could be find here, also much cheaper ( below 1000USD ).

The only monitor that's cheaper here are the highest end like Acer predator and Asus ROG.
That's the reason I gave up. After add up shipping and GST ( I forgot that earlier ), it's very near RM4K already, no point take the risk then.
*
I checked the price of Amazon for LG 34 inch curved and it is not cheap?
Do check out my sales thread though.. I bring in most if not all LG models.
I seem to be the only seller for LG curved but not much people come and ask also.. So, I was wondering if it's because my price too high or just Malaysian market small.

Not sure your price, but those older model 34" curved should be around 750-800USD, but then we're not at US  cry.gif  After add shipping and GST all those, price  shakehead.gif

IHMO, market really tiny. If one need large screen entertainment solution will go high end TV, gamer go 144Hz monitor. People willing to pay this stupid high price for monitor, are enthusiast.

Regarding LG, I  think because most of their ultrawide arent for gaming.

Which older one?

Well.. There's a 60Hz Curved WQHD 3440x1440 FreeSync monitor for RM3100
Wasabimango 340UC

No Gsync or 100Hz like Asus PG348Q but it's half the price of the Asus one.

It is just my opinion/POV as I would always prefer a peace of mind buying "big ticket" consumer electronics that are available to the masses in country for after sales support. No offense nor insult intended for the lesser brands. notworthy.gif
*
Hmm... Well a customer did go for X34 instead of the Korean one.
Though these brands are well reviewed by some youtubers.
So far, no problems reported by my customers. Though most of them buy 40+ inch 4K monitors.

From ebay brother! Pretty cheap around rm2,023. Taxes not included. You can declare it lower so you can save money. Paid rm800 for taxes tho. I will Under-declare stuff next time. The seller can do that for you. So much for being a law abiding citizen  bangwall.gif

Btw, I got the item 6 days including weekend. If we count out the weekend, it'll be 4 days! Pretty FAST!

LOL
Bro, why didn't check Lowyat first.. I had been selling these here for a few years already.. Never before anyone kena tax RM800. brows.gif

since you are here, can i ask the LCD from Korea is shipped direct to us?  If got custom issue we have to deal with it ourselves?  Saw you got some attractive offer but I dun want to deal with custom and the uncertain import tax issue.
*
Yes. Shipped from Korea to Malaysia.
Custom issue is just go to post office and get it.
Customs usually just 6% GST and usually customer pay around RM200 nia.

I think it is difficult to compare with your friend since the pricing and availability of that monitor is different from those of us in Malaysia. Did you import Crossover 3412UM to Malaysia or are you based elsewhere? How much did you pay for it, and the import tax?
*
I import it no problem.

QUOTE(drunkonpiss @ Dec 4 2017, 09:14 PM)
Based in Malaysia but I'm warning everyone about the HIGH Kastam tax the the government is charging. It is 30% of the total value. You can probably try to undervalue the item and get away with it but I have a friend who got caught and paid a hefty fine for it  bye.gif

I'm actually thinking of getting a Gsync monitor next year. Maybe an X34a or the PG348Q. Prices are dropping and it's getting more affordable but for now, very satisfied with the Crossover.
*
Kastam only charge 6% GST. It is definitely not 30%.
I ship a lot of monitors and 99% only charge 6%

It is based from the Kastam Tariff. You'll probably get charged next time biggrin.gif Lucky if you don't but don't say I didn't warn you  brows.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif
However, other PC parts are charged 6% only. It's just that there's LED emblazoned on the Crossover box.  bangwall.gif  vmad.gif

Just share my experience.

I was using 32 inch Curved 1080p 16:9 monitor, and wanted to upgrade to bigger monitor.
Then, I bought a 34 inch Curved 1440p 21:9 Ultrawide... and when I opened the box quite shocked at how small the 34 inch ultrawide is... compared to the 32 inch

I look at Excels a lot, that's why got interested in Ultrawide but now I have to squint my eyes to see even though technically the Ultra is bigger

Warning to others: Check dimensions before purchase

That's a known fact that an ultrawide has lower height compared to similar sized wide monitors.

http://www.displaywars.com/32-inch-16x9-vs-34-inch-21x9

Even a 38" ultrawide would not even beat the height of a wide 32".

And u are comparing 1080p vs 1440p. Just scale the native res lower and your eyes will thank you. But then things may not look as pretty.

Always do research before buying.
*
Ya.. I didn't check.. I just thought 34 > 32 then bought it. It was a newly released monitor, so the price was cheaper. Bought at RM1500 brows.gif

I scaled it up already but if want to scale up to match the size from the 32 inch then can't see much content. Resolution/ DPI-wise it is still ok since Windows 10 is quite good at HiDPI nowadays..

The price point between 35inch and above Ultrawide versus 34 inch UW is a big jump.
Almost have to fork out at least double to get 35 inch UW and 38 inch is about triple the price of 34 inch.

My next upgrade/sidegrade would probably be 40 inch 4K but I don't think any cable can support 4K at 100Hz and above..
My 34inch UW is 1440p 100Hz and I think this is the max the current display protocols can support

EDIT: Just saw the previous post.. of the Predator UW with 1440p at 180Hz using DisplayPort.. So, I was wrong then..
