That's a known fact that an ultrawide has lower height compared to similar sized wide monitors.
http://www.displaywars.com/32-inch-16x9-vs-34-inch-21x9Even a 38" ultrawide would not even beat the height of a wide 32".
And u are comparing 1080p vs 1440p. Just scale the native res lower and your eyes will thank you. But then things may not look as pretty.
Always do research before buying.
Ya.. I didn't check.. I just thought 34 > 32 then bought it. It was a newly released monitor, so the price was cheaper. Bought at RM1500
I scaled it up already but if want to scale up to match the size from the 32 inch then can't see much content. Resolution/ DPI-wise it is still ok since Windows 10 is quite good at HiDPI nowadays..
The price point between 35inch and above Ultrawide versus 34 inch UW is a big jump.
Almost have to fork out at least double to get 35 inch UW and 38 inch is about triple the price of 34 inch.
My next upgrade/sidegrade would probably be 40 inch 4K but I don't think any cable can support 4K at 100Hz and above..
My 34inch UW is 1440p 100Hz and I think this is the max the current display protocols can support
EDIT: Just saw the previous post.. of the Predator UW with 1440p at 180Hz using DisplayPort.. So, I was wrong then..
