Me too, thinking whether to pull trigger on x34 or pg348q. Some says dell u3415w has better build quality and qc, and the matt panel doesnt look so dull. I think its time for most us to move to qhd.

x34 or pg348q panel matt coating looks dull, seen with my own eyes. Hmmp. hope it can be a little glossier say 20%-30% so it can looks better. But not totally glossy, I hate reflection.

Agree . I'm still waiting for a better out of the box monitor from Samsung or Dell with similar spec as X34 or better.

GTX1080 on UW G-Sync 2k monitor, I believe the fps will rarely dip below 60hz when gaming at max/ultra settings.
G-Sync works is when the gpu render fps is way below the monitor fps, so it's like a waste of paying extra for G-Sync monitor.
Hopefully it will be a new option to games, Dell or samsung UW G-Sync 4k monitor

On the other hand,
Fast gpu + normal monitor = Wasted G-Sync. (However screen tearing due to fast gpu render rate but monitor still 60 fps, this can mitigate by nvidia new Fast Sync)

Note : No one is using V-Sync due to high input lag nowadays.

Wow x34p everything is just right on this monitor excet 144hz. Im ready for this, 100hz is ok for my eyes to handle

Cannot tahan edy bought acer predator xb271hu. Lol, wanna test the high 165hz. Maybe when x34p out will change to that. Current x34 too risky what if the screen doesnt hit 100hz, im gonna cry. I love ultra wide as much as i do love silky smooth high hz

If can wait better wait for x34p. Can swiwel, got joystick control and nicer back material matte and not mentioned more curve

LG panel yeah, hopefully no backlight bleed or ips glow like those now found in high end ips model by AU optronics.

You need a minimum 980ti or 1070/80 to get the best out from x34.

As for 1440p 27in 16:9 or 34in 21:9 are the best to view like 2-3 feets away between the eye and the screen.

Same like 24in 16:9 1080p 2-3 feets too.

For 2160p better to get 32in 16:9 else it has no difference like 1440p 27in at the same viewing distance of 2-3feets. Our eyes cant diffentiate it, unless you want to sit like 1 feet between your eye and the screen, then yes 4k monitor is good for that at 28in. thats why maybe acer 4k predator is much cheaper here. Its is build with wrong size and wrong resolution.

Thats what im afraid too. If smooth im definately good with it but if there is electronic frequency flikering sound everytime switching from 16:9 and 21:9, i will definately say no.

Yes bro buy x34a if budget permit. But i would say gtx 1070 you can max out graphic settings in game but sacrifice framerates. Or you can achieve higher framerates but lower the settings. Depends on games too, if new games yes it will be impacted, but if old games no feel.
But say later in future when you upgrade gpu, yes your monitor is still awesome.

For your info, my gtx1080 on 2k reso settings everything max on forza horizon 3 and gears of war cannot even hit 144fps dont mention 165fps. Its just hovering around 80fps to 120fps. The only games im able to hit 165fps is league of legends and cs go
