Guys, I have a question on taking intra-workout or BCAA. When is the proper time to consume it? I mean, if I got like 6 routines for my workout, do I take it between routine 3 and 4 or do I take it between each routine?

Plz and thanx..

You are overthinking way too much. Do you seriously think that if you drink your intra-workout or BCAA in between routine 3 and 4 that it will make a difference (that you will notice of) compared to drinking it at routine 4-5 or 5-6 or 1-2 and so on? Just drink when you feel like so. Take a sip here and there. It does not matter. You need to sort out your priority first i.e. food intake before worrying about the timing of taking intra workout or bcaa.

Hello guys, I am looking for CED or Steffi peanut butter but unfortunately I could not find any in Kota Kinabalu,Sabah.

So right now, I bought JIF Extra crunchy Peanut Butter. I searched through this forum and found out that this peanut butter contains hydrogenated vegetable oils. Is it any harm to eat it for protein source?

I am eating the peanut butter two spoon after workout and two spoon before sleep.

Any people know where to find CED or Steffi in Sabah or any online?

it's ok with one jar or two of the peanut butter. Taking everyday is considered too much. hmm.probably ask anyone in KL to get them for you? or try to find another without hydrogenated vegetable oils.

What do you guys think about this article? I dont actually agree with this as the assumption taken is too simplistic in nature because the more insulin release ia better for muscle growth when eaten with protein. What make it bad is eating too much of it and causing the glucose to be stored as fat.

Is this some kind of propaganda by sugar drinks company to justify their products?

Is it a must to have a proper post workout meal? I have my dinner at 6 start workout at 7.30-8 till10.

I went back home take bath and drink plain water then chill and prepare to sleep.

I am overweight and have been consuming chicken breast almost very lunch + 1 egg. So shall be good enough for the protein intake right?

Timing of your meals is unimportant. You can eat before after during workout and your body won't know the time. It doesn't have a watch.

Whether or not that is enough protein, we cannot know without knowing your weight, sex, age, activity level, size of chicken breast, etc. Ideally about 0.8-1g/lbs of lean body mass is the amount of protein you should go for. Doesn't matter where the protein comes from, chicken, eggs, milk, whey, casein, pork, beef, fish, bean, legumes, jizz, whatever.

If you're overweight and wanna lose weight, you need to calculate your TDEE, and eat less than that. Tracking your calories makes it easier to do that.

Which mean it is not necessary for me to eat after workout right?

I am actually slimming down gradually, just that I wanted to speed up the process.

I normally will begin with running on threadmill 15 min, then cycling for another 15 min. Then proceed for dumbbell and weight machines.

Age: 25
Weight: 80

Fallacy. It's not a an absolute priority but it is a third factor in the grand scheme of things. It definitely has an impact especially if one trains for performance.

If you have eaten 1-2 hours before your workout you can wait a bit longer but yes you still should eat within 2-3 hours after your workout.

Man, that's totally out of context from what I was talking about. Fine liao, I wrong liao, you win liao. I'll just stick my corner in my journal. I won't interact with none of y'all. Everything I say is always taken out of context. You're the infallible source of truth in everything.

Imo, it really depends but in most cases I guess it'd be recommended. At times I just pop in a post-workout shake and head to bed, I do this usually when I have hit my caloric intake for the day (I have a greedy ass mouth eating a huge ton of food before my workouts).

You used the word, "should" , mean it is compulsory?

If that's the case I will try to swift my workout hour from evening to morning. Basically, within 2-3 hours I will be having heavy brunch.

So what will happen if I do workout in the evening and didn't eat but straight go to sleep?

post-workout shake in this context shall be protein shake right? But I am actually overweight with belly. So I sort of think of I am probably overly "nutrition" (i forgot the right word to use) .

Since I have been consuming meats daily, i figure I am not low on protein in my body. Fats for sure way too much already haha.. that's why I often focus on cardio before I proceed to weight training

Yes, protein shake. Focus on your caloric intake first.
