As the current VS card benefits gonna expired on 31 Aug..anyone knows what new benefits they are giving for VS card after Aug?

yup, i dun use the card also at all. just purely keep the card for the credit limit
same for the other 2 more banks. OCB and SCB.
rm75 SST to pay minimally for the 3 banks to keep the credit limit.

only cards use monthly is Maybank.
but at least 3 cards to keep so rm75 to pay also.

Wish to ask. Did anyone get the cash back for petro on HSBC Amanah MPower?
So far I check mine and my friend statements, statements since November 2017. To our surprise, we never get any Petro cashback at all!

My friends thought he is getting, but all the cashback are just from the 0.2% retail.
He using it every month, and this year too, not only October, November or December 2017.

2% under RM2k and 8% above RM2k. Both also didn't get anything at all.

For Amanah card, no limitations like weekdays or weekends, but limited to :
petrol : Caltex, Petronas, Shell only
groceries : Giant, Tesco, AEON BiG and Mydin only

I think your friend better get HLB Wise Gold.

Hi, I just got my HSBC Visa Signature card. Anyone got the RM250 cashback if spend within 60 days of the approval of the credit card?

Yesterday i receive call from hsbc , they get my information and proceed my application . Then this morning i receive email from hsbc that say "Your MPower Platinum Credit Card-i Application Has Been Declined " ... what!!! Not even 24 hour then receive bad news. Izit can apply one more time ?

I receive call from HSBC ytd, the staff told me now the promo is Samsung J2 Pro.. I asked for the RM250 cashsback, she said she can't guarantee whether still got... n she asked me to sign up for Samsung J2 Pro which is guarantee gift... then, i told her i wan to re-consider... coz i don really need that phone... i prefer cashback...

haha, sama sama, very fast rejected. my ccris is all perfect. the only things not good is my spending is more than my salary and have many cardsssss.....

then u got applied again ? weird, i dont have any credit card , this is my first time apply for cc . and i think my ccris is perfect , juz owe ptptn and every month pay by direct debit . And my annual salary 40k more , already fullfill the minimum requirement . Cannot think what reason to decline

oh...first credit card usually will be harder because no record. try other bank, for example pbb quantum/mbb m2c, uob yolo also ok. easier to get.

try ur salary bank. usually easier for 1st credit card.

Even though your CCRIS is perfect, if you have no credit record/history, i.e. no hire-purchase loan, home loan, other CC etc, the approval is not straight forward.
As other poster suggested, try applying CC from the bank where you salary is credited

For new user with clean record, many bank dont accept one , doesnt matter ur CCRIS or salary high.
i do recall the 2nd year after i work, with salary 100K p.a and newly loan a car monthly 2.2k , i also FAIL when attempting apply HLB wise Gold , M2C GOLD , Standard Charted , Citibank , Alliance platinum

ALL FAILED even i was way above some card minimum 24kpa (HLB wise gold ) and 36k m2c.

The only card i manage to get was from the my hire purchase bank a.k.a the rubbish PBB platinum card.

after 3 year on record , now only im able to get any card i apply.

NOTED: i failed 5 time on Maybank 2 Card GOLD , wanna get it so much last time.

Still waiting for HSBC to contact me on the registration for their card that come with free Redmi 6A phone through some online website.
