If you don't use this card, and want to cancel it, try call 0383233800 to cancel, office working day 9am to 6pm.

It is the only way to cancel, not thru customer service line

They offering RM50 cash back RM200 spending and 0% balance transfer

Disclosure, I didn't take it.

I have tried for mutiple call within this few days during working hour, unable to reach customer service, the call was automate ended.

I then call 03-8321 5200 this number and it worked.

Requested to cancel my HSBC Amanah card, no any other offer being provide

The number I called to was Amanah Team

CS mentioned there will be another team call to confirm my cancellation status.

At the moment, the card has been cancelled.

No idea why still need to call me since the card has already been cancelled

In my personal experience, HSBC malaysia customer service is the worst amongst the credit card merchant banks that i have ever encountered. Most of the times, i have to make several rounds of calls and have to wait for 5 -8 mins before someone pick up my call. Delivery of cc, for god-know-reason, need to take 1 month (from the time i received sms that my cc is on delivery) before reaching my address

Received a call from card retention dept.

CS asked for reason as usual, mentioned that HSBC has no AF will be charge, even it charged, you can call anytime for waiver.

Besides, CS offering RM50 rebate for transaction RM200 and above within 2 month, start from 1 Jan 2017 until end of Feb, cask back will be credit end of March.

After that, you can still decision to cancel if unsatisfying the service... biggrin.gif

You should ask the agent who is helping you apply for the credit card. By right, you SHOULD be entitled to the current acquisition offers. Just double check that you're eligible, and what the conditions are etc.

This is the current bank acquisition offer:

In short the amount you owe i.e. RM7500 to Bank Islam will be transferred to HSBC, divided into 12 monthly 0% instalments of 625 per month. You don't need to pay Bank Islam, as HSBC will settle the debt once BT application is approved. Just make sure your timing is correct and you have plenty of time before your Bank Islam payment is due.

Therefore, instead of you settling the RM7500 with Bank Islam one shot, you just pay HSBC RM625 every month (it will appear as a monthly charge in your statement). This is interest free provided you pay in full and on time every month.

You can head over to the BT thread for many in depth discussions on BT maximisation and tricks if you're really interested.

Similar concept to Easi-Pay and other 0% instalment schemes, just that instead of buying something, you're converting credit card debt into instalments.
