Anyone ever made a claim for the travel insurance that comes with the T1 card?

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Jul 14 2025, 10:17 AM) yep, full charge air ticket to the card then can entitle. mostly its just better to opt separate insurance. the cc provided is only backup in case like missing/late luggage or something2 |

I actually found it hard to tell the difference between the separate policy and the one that comes with the card. They seem the cover most of, if not all the important stuff
Only claimed my travel insurance once via etiqa and the process was horrible. So I wonder if it's gonna be as hard or even harder to use the HSBC one provided by Mastercard if it ever happens |

They seem the cover most of, if not all the important stuff i checked once last time and i gave up on the cc insurance.. the term said that it only covered things that happen during flight.. it does not cover any incident happen during your travel in other country ie: hospitallization. You better call HSBC and check the term if you plan to use it.Only claimed my travel insurance once via etiqa and the process was horrible. I just got my hsbc travelone cc, anything nice about this card other than the lounge access? i have checked the benefits online but seem like nothing speacial, or should i say it's pretty useless..
the card was applied through a booth in lotus bukit puchong, although my ccris all 0, but i have high debt ratio, i just simply apply to entertain the salesgirl, never thought hsbc will approve my application. not sure if i want to use this card as my primary card from now onwards, or should I just cancel the card before next anniversary. currently i have - maybank barcelona (my primary card, 1% cashback) - maybank amex (my secondary card, to use on weekend grocery, 5% cashback) - maybank mastercard (no use) - uob simple visa (no use) - standard chartered visa platinum (no use) This post has been edited by CyrusWong: Aug 2 2025, 11:39 PM |

QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Aug 6 2025, 09:21 AM) Good if you are travelling alone. This should be limited to one visit per day right? Don't think can bring additional guest. No idea about visit limit per day... Typically on PriorityPass (when I used them a long time ago), they don't limit, since they will just deduct another visit from your balance. I would expect DragonPass would follow the same behaviour? I think the new DragonPass provided is definitely more useful for me (compared to Plaza Premium which is super limited), although for a "real" lounge card, this would be more of a backup since there are other cards that provide you and guest with unlimited visits. |

QUOTE(nicklim17 @ Aug 6 2025, 09:23 PM) I've tried twice via chat. No luck. I've got several installment plans on my cards too, so heavy use not necessarily a thing. But I rather just pay the 2x SST than the RM500+ combined annual fee, so can't complain so much... |
