QUOTE(alandhw @ Apr 13 2021, 01:08 PM) Very rare bank will call office for the verification. Unless the supporting documents looks not reliable. But for my HSBC card, the officer also called office. During my time ( it was MCO 2.0) and all HR WFH, so the officer mention cannot reach office to verification and I give the HR personal number to do verification. They also send email to my office email address to prove Im still work there |

QUOTE(damos_csui @ Dec 27 2021, 03:03 PM) i've been meaning to ask this (and i understand it may be different from bank to bank), but when the bank states a minimum income requirement, does it refer to basic salary (not including allowance, loading, etc.) or include all income as reported to lhdn? different case for me. it depend on the officer in charge of your application. My case, applied early this year for rm500 cb ( after 1y cancel ) they approve my application even thought during mco where no one at office ( for HR verification )well i always assume the lowest (basic only) just to be on the safe side when applying. just curious. It depend on the nature of the business you working as well. you can try to check any ccris record that affect your application. Also my advise, if you have any credit card, best to keep in good record for more 1 year in order the bank to seen you are good paymaster ( just my 2 cent) |

QUOTE(bing0212 @ Jul 31 2023, 11:05 PM) Is HSBC card hard to get approval? try to apple again after 6-12 month using direct channel ( via hsbc website) as I know their sign up give also not bad. last time it was rm500 cash back.rm5k salary with only one UOB credit card on my hand, no loan currently applied with Ringgitplus twice (in a year, 6 months interval) and got rejected also can try to apply another bank beside hsbc before apply hsbc card. as we dont know how the bank approve our application, building credit score and prove your credit rating might help |

QUOTE(contestchris @ Mar 26 2025, 02:04 PM) I do it once every 9 months. 6 months waiting period and then 3 months to receive the gift. This is my 4th or 5th round doing it. But I do notice others e.g. UOB will blacklist. nice to know. i also during young age always do mcm this. but somehow right now, after milking their sign up reward, suddenly mcm, okay guna the card in case the other card cb benefit is full.last2, didnt cancel |

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Jul 14 2025, 10:17 AM) yep, full charge air ticket to the card then can entitle. mostly its just better to opt separate insurance. the cc provided is only backup in case like missing/late luggage or something2 |

QUOTE(BenChiew @ Oct 4 2025, 02:20 AM) They are going to loose many customers. But I guess their business focus has changed. If you are one that is likely to cancel due to the fees, then you are not their target customer they want to retain. Minimum income requirements have changed too. It’s flat across all card types. Annually over 100k. why eh like suddenly increase to 100k p.a? like just sc do. are they try to exit cc business? |
