Thanks! This is really helpful  flex.gif

So in conclusion, if I'm understanding the table correctly, reconfirming HSBC T1 provides better value only for local spending but with 10k local spending limit monthly compared to SCB Journey better value for foreign spending?

Means if i have both HSBC T1 & SCB Journey, my game plan should be spending on SCB Journey ONLY for Foreign spending and HSBC T1 for local spending only? TIA

Sorry - my mistake, I read the T&C of the HSBC T1 again -

ADDITIONAL REWARD POINTS
18. In addition to the 1x Reward Points, you also stand to receive Additional Reward Points for
below category of spend subject to the Additional Reward Points Cap:
a. 7x Additional Reward Points for Foreign Currency Spend; and
b. 4x Additional Reward Points for Local Travel Spend (Hotel, Airlines & Travel Agencies);
and
c. 4 Additional Reward Points for Local Dining Spend.
19. The Additional Reward Points Cap is as follows:
a. Foreign Currency Spend: capped at 20,000 Additional Reward Points
b.Local Travel Spend: capped at 10,000 Additional Reward Points
C. Local Dining Spend: capped at 10,000 Additional Reward Points

There's a base 1 point per RM1 spend for any local transaction, but the cap on the "additional reward points" is as above. The table was based on assumption that you spend RM 10k, and the miles you would get - it currently ignores the "cap" as the categories (a/b/c) for T1 are a bit difficult to calculate other than foreign currency cap. Either way, the SC Journey appears to be an overall better card for miles assuming there is no cap (I can't seem to find anything about a cap).

Thanks for the clarification. If assuming purely from a 1 - 1 miles earnings per RM spending perspective(Without cap). Is it fair to say for local spending HSBC T1 is better? and SCB Journey is better for Foreign spending?

Let say if I got new card and used it for the EPP 0% installment plan. Can I cancel the card after few months but I would still pay for the remaining balance every month?

Get RM20 Cashback with a minimum top-up of RM300 in a single transaction to Touch N Go (TNG) eWallet account on Fridays

Has anyone received the cashback for this promo?

If the cashback was immediate, I wouldn't mind.

But having read the T&C, I was like... nah

I can't login to HSBC online banking and mobile app. Previously had a CC, cancelled. Recently applied for new one. Each time I log in, I get auto logged out immediately. CS can't fix the damn issue. Anyone else face it?
*
You just get your new CC? I had this issue too previously, but after called CS, they fixed this for me.

Okay I called and it's fixed now. Can login now.

Apparently all those who reapplied for HSBC cards (with no other accounts with them) face this issue where the new card is not tagged to their existing online/mobile banking account.

Sharing this for reference to all those who many face the same issue in the future.

Thanks!

I'm facing the exact same issue now.
So need to call them to fix?

Can be done via using live chat. Which i just did 2 months ago. Since i was not very actively using, it was not automatically waived.

Is there option to have eStatement to be sent to email? ie email with eStatement PDF?
