I can't login to HSBC online banking and mobile app. Previously had a CC, cancelled. Recently applied for new one. Each time I log in, I get auto logged out immediately. CS can't fix the damn issue. Anyone else face it?

My scenario a bit different, but end up I have to go to the branch, and the staff had to seek help from another senior to solve it

I got my nov cash back everyday already.

It seriously tired with this card. Keep change date, t and c. Cash back category also not really great.

Time to chop

The cs told me that there are group of customer affected, probably it's good for you to check back your statement and see if you are affected

Okay I called and it's fixed now. Can login now.

Apparently all those who reapplied for HSBC cards (with no other accounts with them) face this issue where the new card is not tagged to their existing online/mobile banking account.

Sharing this for reference to all those who many face the same issue in the future.

Thanks!

I tried to top up RM500 to my TnG Ewallet earlier using HSBC TravelOne credit card. However, I got an error message. I re-tried a minute later, and this time the reload was successful.

However, to my horror, on the HSBC mobile app, it shows as two separate RM500 transactions. I called HSBC and they confirmed the card has been charged twice! The credit limit has also decreased by RM500 x 2.

However, there is only a reload of RM500 to my TnG account.

Has anyone faced this before?

Why get so worried with unposted transactions?
It is very common in credit/debit card transactions. Your card issuer already approved but the approval (eg for PIN entry, the 6 digit approval code) failed to reach the acquirer (merchant's bank) due to communication error.

In the past, the unposted transactions never appeared in banking app. But nowadays some banks are too kind to show this info (eg Public Bank, HLB) but may cause trouble and anxiety to the card user. Relax, this piece of info will eventually disappear in 1-2 weeks.

a bit late to reply,
here's the fix i tried and worked

1. use ONLY gboard or stock keyboard, any third party keyboard will not work on the app and will force close, they do this to prevent keylogger and eavesdropping
2. disable any app that running in background that use accessibility service, such as greenify, lastpass, any other password manager.

Hi all,
I would like to see advise here on comparison between the below travel CC. Which provides the best value from spending value & conversion perspective?

HSBC T1 vs SCB Journey Card:

1) Spending for miles (Local & Foreign spending)
2) Miles conversion (Krisflyer...etc.)

Greatly appreciate any wise advice and experiences. Thanks!

nope.
my campaign is Cash Sweep Promo runs from 1 Mar 2023 to 31 May 2023.
my spend on March 2023.
waited till 31 Aug as per T&C 12 weeks max.

still not received, so i shoot to cust resolution & BNM.

initially they still want to tell you its 1st come 1st serve bla bla.

i told them impossible as i do targeted spending 12.00am on 1st day of campaign week.

don't tell me its full by that time. (as unlike RHB, this campaign hav way more quota)

in October only gotten cb back.

so yeah, a full 7 months for cb + efforts writing stories to complaint to cust resolution & BNM

hello guys, sorry credit card noob here so i've been using the same card for the past 5 years...
currently on Amanah MPower Platinum, i'm thinking to change to TravelOne Credit Card for the miles point. would my credit limit be transfered over as well to the new card as i do have a very high limit for my current card.

Important thing to note is HSBC has a monthly cap (correct me if I'm mistaken)...

Thanks! This is really helpful flex.gif

So in conclusion, if I'm understanding the table correctly, reconfirming HSBC T1 provides better value only for local spending but with 10k local spending limit monthly compared to SCB Journey better value for foreign spending?

Means if i have both HSBC T1 & SCB Journey, my game plan should be spending on SCB Journey ONLY for Foreign spending and HSBC T1 for local spending only? TIA
