yes, same. but plusmiles can get extra 5% (for usage above rm100 at highways listed at post #1) or get points (for usage below rm100 at highways listed at post #1). for points, rm1 = 1 point and can redeem for rm10 with 1k points.

money kept in tng has no interest, unlike debit card in savings account with interest. but purchase with tng has no minimum amount set by the merchant, unlike debit card.

you can store up to rm1.5k. you need to register it first and you may block the card and get the money transferred to your casa if you lost your card.

this promo is only available at batu tiga and sg rasau cs as a move to promote 100% electronic (tng only no cash lanes).
1) card price at rm5 instead of rm10 (50%)
2) toll rebate of 30% at these 2 tolls (batu tiga and sg rasau)

the 10% surcharge is applied at all times as long as you use tng for parking. the steps i mentioned is to help on saving the value of your tng amount (up ro 10%) when you reload your tng.

so let's say if you use your tng solely for parking, you lost 10%, but with the method i mentioned it's neutralised back to par. but for other transaction (which has no surcharge), you will actually profit the whole 10%.

went to Tesco @ IOI City Mall.

some details about the new Tesco Clubcard+TnG:

1) new Tesco Clubcard+TnG can be used for payment (terminals only at counter 4 & 10) but reload at sevice counter (near entrance).

2) TnG payment/reload services are not ready, yet. Official launch (i guess for this outlet) on 8-Dec, ready service on 9-Dec (or possibly on the 8th too).

3) Cash reload only. Credit card reload not allowed. Didnt ask about Tesco Cash Vouchers.

4) I asked if reload (no svc charge) can be to any TNG cards or specific to the new Clubcard+TnG. Got 2 conflicting answers rclxub.gif: 1st officer said only allow reload to new clubcard+tng (other tng cards not allowed). 2nd officer said any TnG cards can be reloaded there.

didnt't probe much, will try again on my next visit. sweat.gif

yeah, it doesnt make much business sense. also TnG (the company) may not allow such limitation.

yes, unless they give exclusive reload discount (like watson), they may not limit reload only to tesco-tng.

on another note, if this tesco clubcard tng is going to replace the previous tesco clubcard, will all the supp card holders also be receiving a new tesco clubcard tng (plus with credit inside and reload voucher)? brows.gif

yeah, think about it, actually tesco has invested a lot, say rm10(card cost)+rm5(credit value)+rm2.50(discount coupon) for every clubcard customer.

went to Tesco @ IOI City Mall.

some details about the new Tesco Clubcard+TnG:

2nd officer said any TnG cards can be reloaded there.

didnt't probe much, will try again on my next visit.  sweat.gif

yes, tesco accept cc to buy cash vouchers. this is a workaround in case tesco doesnt allow direct cc reload to tng.

a bit troublesome if each outlet has different policy / inconsistent business rules.

so now you can confirm that once you achieved rm100 you no longer collecting points right? it's either points or cash rebate, can't be both.

yea well this is the first time I hit RM100 and got 5% rebate.

usually I spend less than RM80 per mth on tolls and hence get the 1% points accumulation rebates.

the problem is you can't dispute a transaction. meaning that if you lost your card and it was used for certain transactions, you can only get back the unused balance. so if you don't realise immediately (that you lost your card), your balance can become 0 within a day.

Lost my card and realised it next day, at first thought total lost, then went to T&G website and after that managed to find out balance still intact & quickly blocked the card. Still waiting for them to credit the balance into my bank acc. Processing fee rm10 and need to get a new card, another rm10.

There is difference between TnG card and Plusmiles card.

When I enquire through plusmiles careline on the TnG stuff, they ask me to refer to TnG.

Not sure what is the plusmiles CS for as 10 out of 10 question I ask they also dunno.

of course, it's like you ask watson or tesco about tng questions. they only know better about watson or tesco or plusmiles rewarding system (rather than tng) because they are just co-brand tng card.

means you bought at rm8 + there's a rm2 reload coupon inside?

another question, since it's a clubcard+tng, did they asked you to register your information on it after purchase? so it will officially replace your previous clubcard? or both can be used at the same time?

i saw in Tesco's fb someone asked about reload to other tng cards without service charge.

from the reply from Tesco, it is allowed.

the usual questions are, which Tesco outlet accepts cc to reload tng rclxub.gif

Received my Tesco Clubcard with TnG too. rclxms.gif
Tried to link the new clubcard to my Tesco online account, but failed.
Called the CS at 1300 number behind the card and got the following info to share with all:
1. Old clubcard is linked to new clubcard.
2. Old card's points will be transferred into new card and just continue with new card.
3. Swipe new card to activate and then call CS to link to online account.
4. Can reload TnG without charges but CASH only. Min is RM10.
5. Can pay purchases in Tesco via TnG at dedicated counters only.
6. No new card (with TnG) will be issued to replace Supp Card. Continue to use old supp card.

*
so use the rm2.50 coupon to reload rm10 into your tesco clubcard tng!
effective cash rebate is 25%! thumbup.gif

For those who had received TnG Clubcard and the RM2.50 reload voucher, the CS at Tesco Puchong PBP, mentioned that in order to redeem the voucher, cardholder needs to load a minimum of RM10 into the card.

Only cash topup is accepted at the outlet.

This thread is to share tips on how to fully utilise your TnG card usage for more benefits and also to share with each other on the latest promotion by TnG.

Step 1: Get yourself a TnG card
(You may use your NRIC for TnG too, as it comes with a TnG feature)
Step 2: Reload your TnG card (up to 10% rebate) with the selected credit card at the selected location shared in this thread
Step 3: Use your TnG card at these selected locations to enjoy up to 10% rebate everyday:
Check out these useful links:

that's why we try to reload our TNG using credit/charge cards so that we can benefit from indirect "rebates" smile.gif

effectively, the value in TNG card would be higher ("enjoy up to 10% rebate everyday") than what we actually paid to reload cool.gif

of course during the GFTP 20% rebate, that'd be even better, but our stingy govt decided to use fund for other use instead.

Hi All,

Just wonder how to cancel my touch n go card and get back my balance.
AFAIK, no cancellation is allowed, but refund is allowed with RM5 charges, and minimum value in card is RM5, is that true?

I have few touch n go card on hand, any way to combine the value? since I can't use each of it and dormant fee is apply...
Any idea how to fully utilize each of the touch n go card?
Kindly enlighten me please, thank you very much! notworthy.gif

Touch n' Go is a proprietary eWallet infra.

Plus Miles is a loyalty TNG card by Plus highway operator. Their points/rebates are specific to Plus. Since it's also a TNG card, it can be used at any merchants that offer TNG services (reload, payment)

Compare again to Watson's VIP card which also carry its own loyalty points, etc.

just a sharing in case people are not aware, Maybank Zing card comes with plusmiles feature as well (theres the plusmiles logo) instead just a auto-reload TnG card. But i recommend frequent user to stick with manual reload card... Zing card is worth it just for less frequent user due to RM2 charges per reload of RM100. Threshold to reload @ RM50.

I will keep my old Tesco Loyalty Card to score loyalty points. Then top up my Plusmiles card at places that accept Amex reload. In this way I get 7% cash back all year round, Plus points and rebates as well as keeping my Tesco points when I shop at Tesco and drive on Plus highways!

yes, the best way to fully use all balance is as suggested by alexwsk. otherwise, just cancel and request the balance to be transferred to your casa (but charges apply).

the new tesco clubcard with tng function also can score points. i just used it as a normal loyalty card but just that it also has a rm15 tng value inside as emergency.

use it at tesco/mydin/kk mart until balance 0
then u can destroy the card
*
QUOTE(victorywp @ Jan 8 2015, 03:41 PM)
yes, the best way to fully use all balance is as suggested by alexwsk. otherwise, just cancel and request the balance to be transferred to your casa (but charges apply).

Thanks both.
But is there any min balance required when spending at retail outlets/parking? can share if you tried anywhere before (spend below RM5)?
Because as i know there is min balance=RM5 when using tng at toll.

Can just continue topup and use.

Currently can't register cuz portal is closed now. TNG is introducing new statement portal, no news when available.

Optional to register, but recommended.

TNG advised to register in order to 'protect your credit balance' in case of stolen.

if i look at my tng statement, it shows the cashier counter payment at mydin in bracket. so i can summarise these few counters which i successfully paid with tng: 12, 15, 16, 23, 24, 25, 26, 31 (update: all counters can pay with tng, if unable at your counter, the supervisor can go to other counter to manually do it). for successful reload tng with cc: 15, 16.

the rewards will expire after 12 months.
for 5%, minimum claim amount is rm10 and in the multiplication of rm10.
for points, you need to accumulate 1k points (from rm1k spent) to redeem rm10 reload.

yeah, the login username/password very specific, must be random, capital, alphanumeric. jialat to register.

but once you registred a valid NRIC/mykad, all your associated TnG cards will be displayed in one simple portal. can added more cards later too.

Yes, bought two pieces from Seremban-PD toll as it only accepts TnG or Smart Tag in this toll.

Sorry, I haven't activated yet. It seems only RM 5 credit. blush.gif

Tesco need to spent RM100 above to get .

This 1 just need to pay Rm5 to get RM5 credit to get a free card.
It is good as some of the toll will start to force to pay using touch n go soon (I recall end of this year). Cannot pay cash anyway like what happen to toll in batu tiga.

As we know the touch n go have 10 year validitiy.
Just realise Touch n Go card will expire in 10 years or after 64,000 transactions made.

But, we will not hit 64,000 transactions in 10 years which is almost 17 transactions a day.

U can see this count down for 64,000 transaction in touch n go statement.
There is a column called transaction no. U can see the number starting from 64,000 for first transaction (most likely u cannot see the first tx as it only allow to view last 90 days transaction in touch n go statement).

The no shown there meaning u still have no of transaction allow before card expired.
Example, if u see 63,000 in transaction no for the last transaction performed, meaning u still can use the touch n go for another 63,000 transactions and u had used it for 1,000 transactions.

So, can i reload RM1500 into touch and go card, then ask for refund? then i will have RM1700 cash in hand

I also got the same offer but when I tried to use it the second time under another user, the transaction was not allowed. But looks like a common voucher code PLUS30, were given.
Tried again few mins ago, still got the same error:

Discount code is invalid because it does not meet specific usage condition(s).

Did anyone lost their TnG card before, let's say if the credit has around RM 1k or something? I read from the website, it requires a photocopy of I.C. Besides that, is it difficult to get back the refund?

I have lost before but for a lower amount and got paid back by them with no issue.

It will charged, so better take ticket instead of use touch n go.

Use ticket also give u addtional 15 min to shop. Cos after u pay the ticket, u still have 15 min to go out from parking.

Nvr pay parking with T&G.. They always charge extra one.. like recently went Tropicana mall... First 3 hours RM1.10 charge with my T&G instead of RM1 with cash. Although 10 sen is not much, but it still about 10% of the parking price.. biggrin.gif

It is much safer using TnG during night outings.
I used it during late movie time so that i dont need to queue up and pay the tickets and straigth away swipe.

That's my honest opinion and yet i still don't use TnG for other transactions which charges 10% service/transaction charges.

What is the max charge to park there 1 day? There should be the min balance u should have if use touch n go.

Example, if max charge to park there is RM20, then u must have RM20 at least in touch n go

U can read the article below for parking fee for publika

What is the max charge to park there 1 day? There should be the min balance u should have if use touch n go.

Example, if max charge to park there is RM20, then u must have RM20 at least in touch n go

U can read the article below for parking fee for publika
http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/citynew...fees-at-publika
*
If not mistaken, parking using TNG at Sg Wang need minimum RM30.. I think this is the highest minimum I saw before..

I don't mind paying the additional 10% for carpark using tngo. But I got a bad experience. They charged me every hour instead of the tier pricing 1st 3 hours xx amount.

Never use tngo for parking since then.

Nope. No need proof of address or utility bill.
But need to stop by before entering the bridge, go to the counter and fill up a form. Just put any Penang address during registration for the Penang touch and go card.

it's the reader's problem + poor maintenance by KTM.

same goes to rapidkl buses.
the reader's RFID power is not strong enough to "wakeup" tng card. that's why sometimes u need to put the card for few seconds longer so that tng card gets enough power to turn on, receive transmission from reader, then update the chip's data back.

Yes, common. I never had faced so far but my colleagues faced it all the time.

It is so common that TnG posted this reminder on their FB. laugh.gif

Anda pengguna kerap KTM Berhad?

Using Touch and Go to pay for parking is blood sucking.

10% extra on the final amount of the parking and this attracts GST! WTF!

Shouldn't they start to mass promote cashless system by absorbing the 10%.

Using Touch and Go to pay for parking is blood sucking.

10% extra on the final amount of the parking and this attracts GST! WTF!

Shouldn't they start to mass promote cashless system by absorbing the 10%.

as i have mentioned before, not only the extra 10%+gst, but you also lose out 20-30minutes of parking time. if you use ticket, you get additional time to go to your car and drive out. but with tng, you can only scan when you drive out to the gate. if the queue is long from the place you park to the gate, you may end up paying for another hour rate.

Agree too, should be less paper and encourage people use TnG... many shopping malls available for TnG but all extra charge, don't think people will use it.

Used one before, after that no next time doh.gif

If you holding ticket and long queue, but still, you need to worry whether can out or not right... additional time for ticket only 15~20 min... night time is better to use TnG especially for female I guess

Some mall is phasing out paper based parking ticket and implementing card based; i.e. Queensbay Mall, Penang

the difference is plusmiles portal only records your tolls expenses at plus, but tng portal records your every expenses with your tng card. you can register at tng portal with your plusmiles card too. no problem register at both portals.

tesco TNG card, like any other loyalty card, only benefits those shopping with Tesco.

the TNG is generic, can reload anywhere like jaya grocer, mydin, or Sam's Groceria. I've done that many times.

use the same card for lrt also. works fine.

If u wanna get cheapest tng card, usually there are free giveaway at toll. sometimes discounted cards. keep an eye from TNG fb page.

I seriously not satisfied with Touch N Go Card.

Especially if I want to Topup at Toll Booth.
Always offline, machine broken and other issues.

And also if I want to topup during Midnight, many toll booth already closed their Touch n Go system. Like seriously. shakehead.gif

Except Cashless Toll like Federal Highway, they open 24 hours. This is so sucks.

three other alternatives for you:

1) reload at atm
2) use tng zing (autoreload but with svc fee)
3) manual reload at certain places with credit card (get cashback in return)

if you are paranoid reloading a large amount, then reload at toll booths, but as u said, it's unreliable and operating hours sux (including the traffic jam queueing at reload lane)

10 toll plazas on four highways – MEX, the New Pantai Expressway (NPE), Cheras-Kajang Highway (Grand Saga) and Kemuning-Shah Alam Expressway (LKSA) – would implement the fully electronic toll payment system at noon on January 13.

The toll plazas comprise three on MEX (the Salak Selatan Toll Plaza, Putrajaya Toll Plaza and Seri Kembangan Toll Plaza), three toll plazas along the NPE (PJS2, PJS5, and Pantai Dalam), two toll plazas on Grand Saga (Batu 9 and Batu 11) and two on LKSA (Seri Muda and Alam Impian).

...the highway concessionaires involved would offer various incentives to consumers, including the distribution of 140,000 free Touch n Go cards, where users would only have to pay for a RM5 reload to receive the card.

There is also an offer for a new Smart Tag at RM99, if purchased with a reload of RM20, and a 10% rebate for Class 1 vehicles from January 13 to March 12 this year.

Guys, I have a TNG card which was previously used by my dad and he had registered it under his car registration number.

May I know how to transfer the ownership of that card to my account through ONLINE ?

what do you mean register under his car number? how he did it earlier? as i know, tng is registered to a person name not to a car number plate.

refer to
http://www.touchngo.com.my/CMS/Personal/Ab...MYTouchnGo/FAQ/

OWNERSHIP TRANSFER

25) What is ownership transfer?
You can now transfer the ownership of your registered generic Touch 'n Go card or Touch 'n Go device to any other registered user.

26) What are the conditions for ownership transfer?
In order to transfer ownership of your card or device, both the transferor and the transferee must have a registered account in the MYTouchnGo portal and ownership transfer is only allowed for active Touch 'n Go card and devices.

27) How do I transfer ownership of my card/device?
Go to the "Cards and Devices" tab. Select the option to transfer ownership of any of your registered cards or devices and enter the new owner's NRIC, name & email address and answer the security question correctly.

28) How do I know my transfer was successful?
You will receive a message upon completion of transfer and the new owner will be notified via e-mail.

Hi, I'm using a Watson's TnG card and have been told that it works for LRT and Monorail as well.

However, yesterday I tried using it the KLCC LRT station but it rejected my card twice (and asked me to go to the counter). As I was in a hurry, I just used my RapidKL card (which I bought the first time my TnG card was rejected) and went on my way.

Question: Do I have to go the counter to activate (the LRT & Monorail capabilities, I'm assuming) my Watson's card or something?

I tried paying in Tesco, but every time need to get the store manager to key in password into payment machine. So waiting time is normally around 5mins or more. Then in KK store.. have to spend min RM30 only can pay with TnG.

yes, dormant for your tng feature. means you can't use it as tng anymore if you didn't use/reload at least once in a year.

In the event of a deactivated card continues to remain inactive, a maintenance fee of RM5.30(Included 6% GST) will be charged and deducted from the said deposit or unutilized card balance once every six (6) months. We will stop charging maintenance fee when the card is returned for refund or until the deposit and card balance is depleted.

The detail of your Touch 'n Go card is as follows:
Serial no.                xxx
Old card balance RM20.00
Termination fee (RM5.30)
Administration fee (RM5.30)

A total administration and termination fee of RM10.60 is imposed for your Touch 'n Go card which has been inactive since 16/9/2015 until todate. Please visit Touch 'n Go counter for refund request. Kindly be informed that balance will refund within 30 days.

and here is my reply:
QUOTE
I am not able to go to the counter to return the card as it is only available at the toll area (in Melaka) and I cannot go there. I question the need for me to go there since the card is dormant and cannot be activated. The card is basically useless now. So since TnG linked cards like MyKad and Tesco cards cannot be returned, similar should apply to my card as well. I want the refund to be banked in to my bank account. If you want proof of termination, I am happy to provide a photo of the card cut into 2 pieces. Since you charged an administrative fee, you are compelled to provide this service. Thank you.

i am basically being a pain

rm5.30 once your card deactivated. another rm5 to terminate your card. balance will be refunded to you.

So if I want to keep my Tesco-TnG card for point collection only, best that I use up all my stored balance(=0) and let it deactivate so that no charges will be incurred?

its such a sad case of T&G....

compare it with HK Octopus card... there's no inactive thingy nor fee charged for being inactive 1 year... the card even allowed negative balance!

off course, deposit is needed when getting the card!

how could T&G never can able to match it ! sigh...

First of all, why would your TnG card 'going' to expire soon ?

As far as I know, TnG card will still be active if you use it once in a year.

And yeah, it's possible to transfer the credits to your bank account, not sure for different card.

The customer service told me every tng card have 10 years lifespan. Mine is from 2006 so it would be expired in a few months more.

Yes, can transfer the money from your existing TnG to your new TnG but there is transaction fee, and one more thing, make sure you are the owner of that card (meaning that the card is registered to your name). I think you need to go to one of the outlet (not the Plus outlet but TnG). Did that few years back.

TnG card has 10 years lifespan (expired at the 10 year), happened to me earlier when i complained that my card has like RM 200+ but cannot use. You can check the expiry date from Plus or the self service kiosk which can reload TnG

Rebate them and transfer the credits to your new card if possible brows.gif
