I don't mind paying the additional 10% for carpark using tngo. But I got a bad experience. They charged me every hour instead of the tier pricing 1st 3 hours xx amount.

Never use tngo for parking since then.

so did you complain to tng or to the shopping mall or to the parking company? and did they take any action to rectify the issue and refund you?
*
Nope. I just don't bother with it. Since its only rm1 difference.

Does the shopping mall at your place charge you with 10% surcharge when paying parking using tng card?
*
yes for me. though i note its a bit weird. desa park city that used to charge 10% (noticed by the weird cents behind) seems to stop charging that.
no idea if they have increased the parking fee instead.

and another mall i go don't charge the 10%, but its not uncommon to be charged.

That's what i thought. That they would stop the surcharge when they make it compulsory.

you cant win them, if tngo is the only option.
they could simply embed the cost to the total and tell you, now this is the "new fee" laugh.gif

i used to mind as well, and rather queue a while and paid cash.
but before they force tngo as the sole option, i already accepted the fact and start using tngo instead:

- with 2 kids in tow and grocery, sometimes really sien need to queue for ticket. i rather have the convenience but up until now i have not go to parking that charges more than rm10 and thus surcharge rm1 la. so i don't feel much.
- just before my company's policy changes on transportation claims before mco, i loaded quite some money to tngo and claim company. now its on allowance basis instead of claim (no receipt, fixed amount). so i got about rm300 left for me to use for toll and parking, which since covid, i don't really go out much.
