Still using the ori tires; gt champiro cause EB just for the weekend since 2012! Last week, rotate the position of the tires thou the 'bunga' still look OK. After 29k km. Now the sound like the 'boat penambang'! Any suggestion about so call good and quality tires .. n 'murah' also?
*
How was the rotation done? Swap front to rear only, or crossed?
If your tires are now making noise, I suspect it was crossed.

Bro, honestly your understanding is different from what I know.

There are overlap usage of terms of "brake booster". For clarity, brake booster refers to this:

Vacuum assist pump(aka the 2014 model brake booster) refers to this:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

How brake booster works
How vacuum pump works

Below are the comparisons:
- Our EB with or without vacuum pump, are only vacuum assisted hydraulic, not electronic.
- With or without vacuum pump, if there is vacuum leak, after several succession of brake pressing, the pedal will become hard and no braking power. Again, when this happens, you have a weak brake because something is wrong.
- Difference with or without vacuum pump, is the feel of 'hardness' when pressing brake. But, doesn't cause lose of braking power.
- When aircon is on full power, it means the aircon compressor and alternator are both loading the engine. This causes the RPM to drop, and the vacuum pressure suffers. This in turns causes the lose of brake power. Increasing engine RPM, or adding a vacuum pump will solve this problem.
Does your unit have vacuum pump? Most likely not. And if you thought you got the 2014 model without the vacuum pump, then you've been short-changed.

The symptom usually means poor vacuum to the brake master pump. Could be caused by air leak. Need to find out problem first.

Installing vacuum pump is not a solution to the problem, but can solve it indirectly.

Here's a guide to troubleshooting:

for tyres, I got good deal for Michelin 3st 205/55/16 for 370 each before raya. Maybe hard to find now.

another option is toyo ne3, which is around 270 each, threadwear rated 400, from brochure I think this might be similar to michelin xm2/xm1

Hi all forumer,

I considering of buying this car (proton exora 1.6 cfe turbo) OR the new nissan grand livina.

May I know the exora is it good? is it better than Alza?

Please share your review especially the current owner of this exora.

Hi, I'm also thinking of getting new auto turbo EXORA oso.
2014 stock will take us app RM63k++ after discount. And 2015 stock will take us app RM69k++ and there's no discount for it. The car may probably release after APRIL 2015.
Means that indirectly we need to pay extra app RM10K if getting 2015 stock. Unfortunately 2014 no more stock and all the showroom don't have any EXORA.

My self personally feel that EXORA is much much spacious VS LIVINIA and ALZA. ANd I did check in this forum before.
The feedback that I'm getting from most of the user here is positive and HAPPY with EXORA.
Hope both of us can be be part of them and contribute idea after we purchase EXORA.
Let's keep in touch for EXORA BOLD AUTO TURBO (STD ).

My record so far.

A inflatable Tesco swimming pool. Dimension is 2m (L) x 1.5m (w) x 0.5m (h)
In inches, its 79inch x 59 x 20 inch.

Brought it to the nearest petrol station to inflate it.
Can fit in term of lenght, but was stuck by the side after inflating it.
So i had to deflate slightly, tilt it up slightly.. Inflate again. Better but still stuck by the side.

So there you have it. The interior cabin tested to the limits biggrin.gif .

last month , i had a hard time looking for Exora in the showroom.
can't seem to find any around Puchong and some PJ area.

In the end, COE Shah Alam have a test drive unit, can only look and feel it finally. But that battery kaput, can't test drive. rclxub.gif

So far i am happy with my Exora, after considering G.Livina, used Wish/Stream and didn't even consider Alza.
Am prepared for some minor issues, after all it's a proton. thumbup.gif

My guess would be the current model. Proton haven't formally announce anything on the facelift with details , prices and all. All we see are just sneak preview so far.

I am also patiently waiting for the facelift model before making my hit.

Is it city driving ..or highway driving?
If highway driving, can be better.
But if City driving, it's already good already lo.

Pls remember this is Litre/100KM, not KM/Litre. Lower reading means better FC

You can read the pages here too, I dont mind also sharing my FC.
But City driving and highway driving, alot of differences.

Just want to share my FC:

80% highway = 9L/100km
100% city driving = 14L/100km

if it is not so urgent, i think its worth to wait.
last time i almost 'kena' when the 1st facelift, EXORA MC was offered to me with 5K discount when there's a rumour about the all new model. and as usual PROTON like to play 'sembunyi-sembunyi'. unsure.gif
