QUOTE(Austin123 @ Dec 25 2014, 02:58 PM) if you choose the BOLD@turbo, bare in mind to managed your right foot how to behave. the power itself will spoil everything. i always speck to myself to calm down, but ended 'cocok' almost everybody. getting 10-11KM/L(highway}, is good enough for me. the worse part, always 'kene' speed trap. QUOTE(SleeplessEyes @ Dec 26 2014, 08:30 AM) True. BTW I noticed if I were to keep it off-the-boost too much (city driving, in other words, drive like a granny on a Sunday morning) then the average FC will show up higher. yeah. if we too concern about the FC, then BOLD is not a good choice. yes its a family car, but not so call friendly family car that you go for 'santai-santai'. what under the hoot, is more than that.I think it's because when off boost...the engine becomes 1.6NA ,and has to move 1.5 ton mammoth + 7 adults , at slow speed. I tried speeding once up to 130KM/h, just after reset the FC meter, FC was showing up good. But the moment I reach the Klang-Banting traffic lights (damn long timing) , FC shot up (yeah I know, idling wastes fuel). So this car is abit odd. It loves to be on-boost, especially on faster speeds. But yeah you are correct too. Too much boost spoils the whole FC. But in the end, it's the price we pay for all the power excitement. different people comes with different words. honestly, i owned this mammoth mainly coz of it's power, comfortable for the whole family, especially for a long journey, and of cause affordable. actually its my second car. just for weekend 'jalan-jalan makan angin' only. for almost three years(02/12), its just clock 39+++KM on the odo. that's why i really don't care much about the FC. once hands behind the wheel, just shoot out 'secukop rasa'. throughout my experience, at any condition, if we play up to 3000RPM only, we still can manage a good FC. QUOTE(2uk3y @ Dec 27 2014, 10:44 PM) i remember my salesman said, i remembered my SC told me, actually its not a good practice to refuel until the indicator start blinking. if the car is moving, at certain situation, it may effect the fuel pump if the air is allowed to flow into the fuel line. just to play safe, i refuel soon after the sign 'km to go' shows <100KM. mana tau jalan lagi tak jumpa petrol station, nanya. - if last bar blink, can go around 50km - if fuel indicator blink, can go around 20km |

QUOTE(ir5 @ Jan 2 2015, 10:58 AM) if you can detect any lick at the nipple before start your journey, then its good enough so that you can shoot straight to the nearest SC. but its not a ready stock. a normal SC will ordered on demand. i had to wait mine's for a week.jut imagined if you are on a long journey, in a middle of a night, at high speed and its happened. no sign at all when its going to burst due to high pressure, and when its happened, the temp will raised to the maximum, and its already too late. when this issue brought out, i dare not to do any long distance journey until its already replaced. QUOTE(ir5 @ Jan 5 2015, 05:12 PM) what to do. just wait and hoping it won't burst until you get it replaced. i do have another car for daily used. so the BOLD just parked or only drive short distance around my area until the SC called for the replacement. now it all over and i really 'lenjan' the car to 'lepas gian'. QUOTE(ir5 @ Jan 5 2015, 04:13 PM) i think its not the petrol brand caused our friend's problem. i do used shell once awhile and i don't have such a problem. yes, i do feel a bit differ when i pumped caltex/bhp, smoother and better pick-up when floored the throttle. |

QUOTE(smallcrab @ Jan 5 2015, 11:18 PM) Just got the exora bold turbo premium. welcome to the 'kepizzz kepizzz' club.Excellent value for the money RM72.2k (counted 5.8k rebate). Complaint so far: 1. the cooling fan noise after switched off the engine is very loud !!! my whole house can hear it ... 2. difficult for me to drive at max 2000 rpm, torturing drive !!! can't wait to whack the turbo after 1000km... the noise, just to tell everybody that you are on turbo now. so don't play play aaa. i once whacked at 3000RPM as the odo passed 500KM. really cannot 'tahan'. |

QUOTE(ir5 @ Jan 6 2015, 04:11 PM) how long you have to wait bro from the time the SC ordered the part and getting it replaced? its already known issue. the SC will ordered it as soon as you report in. its a priority. i claims two items, the nipple and ABS sensor. so the SC chased for the nipple first as the ABS sensor still can wait coz its out of stock. the SC at Bukit Serdang took about ten working days to get the nipple. now only the ABS sensor yet to wait and they said maybe i can get it by next week. i'm not so lucky like you coz i have no choice not to drive my BOLD everyday...huhuhu |

QUOTE(ir5 @ Jan 8 2015, 04:26 PM) wow...that's sounds not safe riding...what's your odometer counter when the defect happened? so far, what happened to me, if i hit a big/small deep hole/pole, the Grrrrrr sounds will pop up at the co-pilot area.... the GRRRR sound are normal, but mines, the ABS indicator light up and once checked up, one of the sensor not functional. at high speed, its like break 'tak makan'. it did stop, but if emergency might be very dangerous. so got to be extra alert. my odo was 38+++KM when it happened. |

Today checked on my SC about the ABS sensor i claimed last month. So upset, they said PROTON out of stock coz of too many complained regarding this thing. Don't know how true is it or another big issue beside the radiator nipple. any idea about this puzzle.
