My EB CVT shows 9.5l\ 100km on the panel. It is too much? Any idea too make it more lower? .
*
9.5L/100KM=10.53KM/L.
if 100% city@KL, its more then enough. for 100% highway, it could been better. you can get 11-12KM/L at almost normal speed(140KM/hrs). if it is a mix ride, its just nice.
to get consistent FC(10-11KM/L), i always keep the RPM at 2000-3000 at any condition. from stand still, over taking, going up hill even during cruising. its my personal experienced, but of cause this my weekend car. nod.gif

Update on EPDM rubber seal for engine boot: May cause higher FC. Need improvement on sealing in front of air intake duct to allow cold air intake.

Update on Torque Pro app: Noticed increased fuel consumption based on calculated "fuel flow rate" during in-gear downhill. What happens when releasing pedal while in D, initially DFCO kicks in to save fuel. Then, the CVT clutch engaging together with ignition timing is retarded, bringing the RPM up to as high as 3k RPM. Followed by increase of fuel flow.

ok, thanks for info. so that mean air not fully go thru intake right? air will go thru gap that created by the rubber. hmm.gif

I had purchased the Exora for RM63k+ (free tinted for windows & free 1 year 4G wifi) for the 2014 stock. Last brand new unit for 2014!

Will collect the car this Saturday. Thanks for all your feedback forumers!

2uk3yIt's the other way, with the EPDM seal, I believe the intake port is suffocated by having to draw air from engine room.

Anyone did CVT oil change before? Do you feel any difference? Or, should we consider other alternatives?

I'm looking at the stock CVT fluid (ExxonMobil EZL799) and noticed the 40C viscosity is 2x higher than other competitors (Motul, Amsoil, Nissan etc.). A bit worrisome...

Now all SC is using Petronas Tutella... no longer using Esso EZL799. Tutella is blue bottle, blue fluid while Esso EZL is gold bottle, red fluid.

CNY coming soon and most carmakers (including Proton) will do a promotion of some sort. Wait a week or more perhaps?

EPDM update: P-type is suitable for bonnet, door trim, and boot cover.
For door trim, we can continue downwards from the window pillar.

Alternative to door trim is using small D. This one can close the door gaps at the A, B and C-pillar. Expect both small D and P type to make the doors harder to close.

I was using 2 layers of big D for my bonnet. Less cost efficient than single P-type.
Need to cut open at the front intake, to allow cold air intake. Otherwise, penalty is ~2L\100km FC degradation.

Anyone interested let me know, so to motivate me take pictures...

For me to burn money. LOL.

It's an old trick, really.
Example here.

For me, I can hear motorcycle pass by through the door gaps.
Also, notice the stock rubber seal only close the gap halfway down the B-pillar. I want to close it. Have a look at Audi Q8 door seal if you see one. It's all closed up.

This is small step to improving noise insulation of EB. Others in plan: firewall, floor and roof; door; wheel well...

That one need different treatment.
Soundproofing is to prevent exterior noise coming in.
Then, interior acoustic treatment. This one is mostly affected by the material facing inside the cabin. A bit like studio room.

Which one looks nicer for doors?
small D or P seal type?
So need roughly 15 metres for all 4 doors?

I might wanna DIY also just for the doors...reduce wind sound biggrin.gif
Need google see what is the current 3M price....Any idea?

My ride ifor the g a intermittent problem with the Aircon.
When I switch on the A/C (speed to 1 or 2) no response..... then I have to turn to max (4) to get it activated and after that all the speed will work fine.re
All the 4 times it happened is after a Cold start.
I suspected the Filter and cleaned it but still the problem exits...
Anybody here faced the same problem?

There is a also an intermittent sound developing from the steering rod when I turn to one direction(like the old door opening sound). No issues with the alignment.
Need to show to SC when I go for the side mirror replacement.
*
SC informed that the ordered Left side mirror unit came.... so I went down for replacement.
When they delivered the car, I saw they changed the right hand side....
When I informed them, they told there was a play for the right hand side also so they changed it....
So finally, both are new..smile.gif
Only sad part is that I installed the Arrow LED indicators in the glasses.... now it's gone....
