Just gotten my EB Turbo yesterday. While driving and slowing down, there is some weird sound... it sounds like "tak tak".. seems come from seats or door around driver's area..

My car has a similar sound too, especially when going slow and after crossing road bump. It's like something hanging loose and knocking on metal parts. Can't figure out what's wrong.

welcome to the owners' club.

The mudah link is 8 inch type, brand = Dynavin
The lowyat link is only 7 inch type, brand = dunno china/taiwan brand

That Dynavin got GPS type also...

But both also not very good when wanna pair with component speakers....
Of cos cannot compare with Pioneer headunits...

Done 80k km servis last friday, using systium 3000, cooland and aircon for 450.

Then stranded in a middle of highway after 15min drive. The enjin lost power during the deacceleration cannot hold rpm above 1k.

Got call from sc cannot find problem because the car is behaving normally.

Anybody got anything on this issue.

Btw got my exora bold premium cfe on may 2012.

Edit. Able to start the car after disconnecting the battery for 30min. And use the tarik kerete back to sc. Afraid happen again.

alexei, car seldom drive (2nd car), only driven on weekends/holidays/whenever feel like it, thats why low mileage  laugh.gif
2nd service, not even reach 5000KM already service  biggrin.gif

Something new I learn. 14-15:1 compression, almost like Mazda SkyActiv without turbo.

Anyway, I now learn to drive a little faster than a granny.  laugh.gif
Yesterday tried to catch up with a Toyota Landcruiser Prado LX470 (4.7L V8  flex.gif ) and a VW Jetta. Both are fast & furious driver, especially the Jetta.
Jetta obviously have good acceleration off the line, but Exora still can catch up with it later.
So no problem catching up. Proud of my EB.  nod.gif

Well.. I agree with you that Jetta really has great performance with very great pickup power. I have no idea how come your Exora can catch up the VW Jetta. Perhaps, that Jetta slow-down and wait for you? JK xD

Hi..just got my EB Premium last week WA 4### X. Done only 300km due to raining all week.
My car also got knocking sound when going slow especially during traffic jam stop and go.
Suspected something loose near the gearbox or CV joint but the CVT behave normally.
Will check at Service Center when reach 1000km for first service.

nobody got this problem?

if it is the same sound as mine, your dashboard is loose, not tighten properly during assembly. there is a few nuts/bolts that I have to tighten myself (after cose subang cannot find the problem(my complaint). open the driver door , you can see 2 nuts , try see if it is loose(tighten). at the small tiny window, pry up the trim and see if those nuts/bolts are loose( tighten)

VW Owner/Supporter detected. Anyways, welcome to the club.

Anyway I dont know what brings you here, but anyhow, welcome.

happyfriday Anyway why feel butt hurt? I didn't condemn the Jetta. And neither did I say Jetta is a crappy car. In fact before I gotten the Exora, I test drove the Jetta, Golf , Passat, and I actually liked the Passat, but unfortunately it's out of my reach now.

If you noticed my earlier comment, I only say I able to catch up. And I wasn't doing top speed just to catch up with him either. Was only doing 80-100Km/h on a normal 3-lane road. Just a short burst of mid-range acceleration.
If I said I overtaken the Jetta, I think I will have drawn even more criticisms.

And oh BTW, I have my daughter and wife on board
That Jetta which I "catch up" from behind, well I think he must have noticed, I caught up, then he started trying to lose sight of me, by zig-zagging between cars and lane. While I remain in my lane throughout the journey.
So in the end, who won? No need to have winners. Just enjoy your own cars.

Planning to send to SC to check. Besides that, the Fan sound seems too loud as well...
As for the engine sound after turn off, it tooks about 1 or 2 minutes to completely stop all, does the duration based on how long the engine has run?

The loud fan is very normal. It depends on the temperature of the engine.

If spirited driving, usually the fan will run for awhile after the engine is off.

I noticed it is also dependent on surrounding temperature too. For example, when rainy or cold weather the engine fan will run longer smile.gif
